Father, daughter arrested following dispute
A father and daughter were arrested recently following a domestic dispute at their residence on Pine Valley Farm Road.
Ronald Nelson Epps, 53 and Shelby Pamela Hosting, 30, 1857 Pine Valley Farm Road, Comer, were both charged with battery/simple battery FVA. Epps was also charged with two counts of cruelty to children in the third degree.
According to the incident report, officer Jeff Vaughn went to the residence where he met with Epps, who stated that he and his daughter, Hosting, had been “going at it” and that she was getting her “!&” out of his house. He admitted that he struck her in the face after they started yelling at each other. Hosting had a bloody nose, busted lower lip and red marks on her cheek. She told Vaughn that Epps had come to her bedroom and she kicked him to make him get away from her. There were four children inside the residence, and two of them reportedly witnessed the altercation.
The following day, Ronald Nelson Epps, 28, also of 1857 Pine Valley Farm Road, Comer was charged affray (fighting) after he and Justin Lee Parham, 21, of 39 Pine Avenue, Comer, got into a fight in the road in front of the residence. Parham was charged with affray and reckless conduct.
According to the incident report, officer Brandon Moss was dispatched to Pine Valley Farm Road in regard to a “fight in the roadway.” Epps told him that Parham, who is the boyfriend of his sister, tried to run him over when he asked him to leave the residence and almost struck a child as he backed out, running into the ditch across the road. Now for what I JustWantToKnow. Why are you so fond of using question marks when a period or exclamation point would be appropriate? I'm certainly not the grammar/spelling/punctuation police, and I'm not trying to be a horse's rear end. I would just really like to know.
The reason I use question marks is because it is questions.
I'm surprised that you feel "attacked" by the folks here who have been merely curious. They inquired sincerely and politely from my point of view. Also, JWTK wrote, "People always want to insinuate that the deputies hang around....". Please note that he wrote "people", not you, right after you posted support for our law enforcement, so he/she would not be including you in "people". I thank you for that support because it is well-earned by our officers.
Posting on this board does not require perfect literary skills by any means, but whatever helps clarity will give more power to comments. Please don't resort to total lack of punctuation in unnecessary anger; your comments are welcomed here. My daughter's first boyfriend, majoring in journalism of all things, was too lazy to use it and it was maddening! He actually wrote several screenplays that way; they might have been good, but who could tell?
But I WILL stand up for and defend our law enforcement personal BECAUSE they have one of the toughest jobs? They not only protect us every day BUT they do this with very little or no respect from the people they are protecting? AND anyone who thinks all they do is hang out at the Bread Basket or Huddle House? That is a small part of their shift and everybody has to eat. If ANYONE THINKS THEIR JOB IS EASY? TRY IT.
