Madison County’s board of education voted Sept. 13 to approve the sale of bonds for the upcoming construction projects at Madison County High School and Comer Elementary.
The school system received an AA3 bond rating.
“(This bond rating) is outstanding for a school system especially in light of the economic times where state and local funding is being cut,” assistant superintendent Bonnie Knight said. Bonds will be sold in early October, Knight said.
Comer construction could be completed by the fall of 2012. High school construction will likely be completed sometime in 2013.
