The 63rd annual Madison County Agricultural Fair was held Sept. 27-Oct. 1 at the Comer Fairgrounds off Hwy. 22.

Large crowds attended the fair each night and the Saturday afternoon matinee. There were cattle, pig and goat shows, musical acts, numerous civic booths, contests, funnel cakes, corn dogs, boiled peanuts — and of course, the ferris wheel and other rides.
