PUBLIC SAFETY: Couple arrested for ‘pedestrian under the influence’

Adam Joshua Manders, 34, and Teri Lynn Manders, 31, of 440 Friendship Church Road, were each charged with pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

According to the incident report, officer Michael Moore responded to the scene where he found a man (Mr. Manders) trying to walk down the white line with both arms out as if he was trying to balance himself. The woman (Mrs. Manders) was walking ahead of the man and when Moore approached her she was swaying so badly that she wound up across the yellow line in front of oncoming traffic. Moore told both of them to get in his patrol car before they were run over. Both had extremely slurred speech and appeared to be under the influence of drugs. Mr. Manders told Moore that “Teri was the one ‘tore up,’ not me.” Both were taken to jail.

•Steven Christopher Hickman, 39, 507 Christmas Circle, Colbert, was charged with theft by shoplifting after he was caught shoplifting at the Dollar General Store on Glenn Carrie Road.

•Maritta Sue Ayers, 46, 325 Race Track Road, Danielsville, three counts of deposit account fraud.

•Jason Scott Braberry, 28, 690 Duncan Swindle Road, Ila, battery FVA.

•Terry Lamar Bradford, 37, 267 Chesterton Drive, Athens, weaving over roadway and DUI/alcohol. (Comer PD)

•Rhonda Kay Brooks, 32, 227 Evangelical Church Road, Danielsville, forgery in the first degree and theft by receiving stolen property.

•Johnna Celeste Crumley, 37, 220 Leachman Road, Commerce, probation violation.

•Mathew Wayne Dew, 28, 2225 Harry Arnold Road, Monroe, DUI/alcohol.

•Anthony Joseph Driver, 32, 3399 Moon’s Grove Church Road, Danielsville, violation of a family violence order.

•James Fluellen, Jr., 51, 302 Madison Boulevard, Colbert, DUI alcohol, driving without a valid license, knowingly driving a motor vehicle on suspended, canceled or revoked registration.

•Juan Carlos Hernandez, 30, 462 McCarty Dodd Road, Statham, driving without a valid license, open container, DUI/alcohol and failure to appear.

•Andres Juarez, 17, 125 East Piedmont Park, Hull, driving without a license.

•Elisha Landress, 33, 1455 Old King’s Bridge Road, Nicholson, possession of marijuana, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

•David Lamar Mahaffey, 37, 1005 James Holcomb Road, Hull, driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Casey Jason Maney, 31, 2475 Black’s Creek Church Road, probation violation.

•Jonathan Paul McDaniel, 29, 117 Acorn Road, Colbert, theft by taking felony.

•Quincy DeKeith Meadows, 28, 393 Sims Crossroad, Stephens, probation violation.

•Christopher Lewis Roberts, 24, 2410 Hardman Morris Road, Colbert, order to incarcerate and burglary.

•Kristen Elizabeth Roass, 27, 1910 Old Ila Road, Hull, weaving over roadway and DUI/alcohol. (GSP)

•Ausencio Benitz-Sanchez, 44, 500 Kathwood Drive, Apt. C-5, Athens, driving without a valid license and weaving over roadway.

•Rodney Eugene Shelnutt, 51, 4372 Jot-Em-Down Road, Danielsville, hold for Clarke County.

•Verlin Fernandus Smith, 19, 120 Almond Drive, Athens, burglary.

•Tiffany Marie Stoddard, 28, 909 Cherokee Avenue, Monroe, hold for Walton County.

•Latron Jarvariun Usher, 19, 130 Calvin Street, Athens, burglary.

•Miriano Valasquez, 35, 216 Madison Boulevard, Colbert, driving without a valid license.
