An ‘Old-fashioned Christmas in Colbert’ set for Friday

Santa Claus is coming to town during this year’s annual “Old Fashioned Christmas in Colbert,” to be held Friday, Dec. 9, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

“Santa will arrive via fire truck, so bring your camera,” officials said.

There will be free food and activities for all, including Christmas music, a jump house, face-painting, cake walk, hayride, hot chocolate and a reading of the Christmas story.

Activities begin at the Christmas tree in the pavilion at 6:30 p.m. Donations of unwrapped toys, non-perishable food items for the food pantry, pet supplies for the animal shelter (including dry dog/cat food, paper towels, bleach, cat litter, canned cat/dog food and dish soap) will be accepted during the event.

“Also, visit the ‘Experience Bethlehem’ at Colbert Baptist Church while you’re in town,” officials said.
