On June 17, 2008, One (1) Chevrolet Van, VIN: 1GBEG25K5M7141042, Tag: AXJ6907, was seized for administrative forfeiture from OFELIA VILLEGAS and MACARIO VILLEGAS at Madison County, Georgia, for violations of Official Code of Georgia Annotated Section 16-13-30 (Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act). The conduct giving rise to the forfeiture is as follows: Officers with the Piedmont Mans and Madison Co. Sheriff’s Office utilized a confidential informant to arrange for a delivery of a 1/2 pound of crystal methamphetamine to be delivered in Madison County; Macario Villegas and Jesus Solis delivered the suspected methamphetamine to Madison County while driving the Chevrolet Van described above. Pursuant to Official Code of Georgia Annotated Section 16-13-49(n) this property is subject to forfeiture. Any person claiming an ownership interest in this property may file a claim within thirty (30) days after the second publication of this notice by sending the claim to the seizing agency and to the district attorney by certified mail or statutory overnight delivery, return receipt requested. Otherwise, the property will be forfeited and disposed of according to law.
