Colbert man charged with DUI at traffic stop

Benard Travis Appling, 52, 277 Valley Road, was charged with driving while license suspended or revoked, DUI/alcohol, operating without lights required by law, failure to yield right-of-way and no tag.

According to the incident report, officer Joshua Smith stopped Appling’s vehicle after he almost struck his patrol car. Smith noted that Appling’s eyes were bloodshot and he appeared intoxicated. A check of his license revealed that it was suspended.

•Jimmy Eugene Faulkner, 53, 94 Northwood Circle, Colbert, failure to appear.

•Millard Douglas Fitzpatrick, 55, 165 Ed Coile Road, Hull, receipt, possession or transfer of a firearm by a convicted felon.

•Christy Dawn Green, 37, 5785 Hudson River Church Road, Danielsville, possession of methamphetamine and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

•Clay Randall Haggard, 32, 193 Prospect Road, Colbert, probation violation.

•Mathew Frank Hodge, 18, 510 Woodale Street, Hull, two counts of burglary.

•Donna Lynn Hutchens, 47, 1120 Bell Road, Watkinsville, DUI/alcohol and speeding.

•Michael Jason Massey, 31, 165 Coile Road, Hull, manufacture/deliver/distribute/administer/sell/possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and two counts of possession of a Schedule III controlled substance.

•Chadwick Brent Moore, 36, 2792 Della Slayton Road, Comer, court order.

•Phillip Daniel Rhodes, 31, 1642 Lexington Hwy., Elberton, driving while license withdrawn and head/tail light requirements.

•Russell D. Strickland, 42, 1203 White Oaks Drive, Athens, terroristic threats and acts.

•Michael Frank White, 57, 1482 Mathis Road, Danielsville, driving while license withdrawn.

•Thomas Gerald Willis, 47, 184 Reese Lane, Hull, four counts of deposit account fraud.

•Clarence Mark Woody, 47, 130 Willoughby Homes, Commerce, possession of methamphetamine, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, weaving over the roadway and probation violation.
