Man charged with obstruction, disorderly conduct
A Comer man was arrested recently after he reportedly refused to leave a residence on Belhaven Lane.
Michael Lee Kiser, 24, 2225 Arnold Park Drive, was charged with obstruction, terroristic threats and acts and disorderly conduct.
According to the incident report, officer Brandon Moss went to the residence where he attempted to talk to the complainant but was interrupted when Kiser came out of the residence “cursing and being very disorderly.” When he was told to go back inside or be arrested he reportedly said, “well you will just have to take me to jail.” He struggled while being placed in handcuffs and then started beating his head on the side window of the patrol car once he was inside. He allegedly threatened the complainant in front of officers saying he was going to kill him and “when I get out of jail, you dead.” Kiser was noted to be very intoxicated.
The complainant said that Kiser had become upset because he believed his ex-girlfriend, who lives at the residence, had been seeing another man.
In another incident, Ricky Lee Hardy, 54, 5657 Hwy. 29 South, Lot 28, Hull, was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine) after he called 9-1-1 to report that he had just purchased some meth and wanted to turn if over to deputies. Officer Brandon Moss responded to the residence where he found Hardy waiting for him. He handed Moss a small plastic baggy containing suspected methamphetamine. He said he had purchased it from his neighbor. When asked if he knew it was illegal to purchase it, he reportedly said, “I know, but I want the drug dealer that sold it to me arrested.” A check with the neighbor found no narcotics and Moss noted that the neighbor did not match Hardy’s description. Hardy was taken to jail.
