Actions filed recently in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Madison County include:
•Danny Ray McElhannon, 25, 394 Turtle Lane, Canon, was sentenced to ten years probation, 10 hours of community service and a $50 fine after he pled guilty to a charge of burglary. This charge was reduced from a charge of theft by receiving stolen property.
•Milton Jack Wilcher, 26, 36 Windy Ridge Drive, Danielsville, was sentenced to 24 hours of confinement on a charge of disorderly conduct, which was reduced from a charge of public indecency.
•Justin Tyler Cape, no age or address listed, was sentenced to five years confinement after he pled guilty to charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, giving a false name, address, birthdate to law enforcement and acquiring a license plate for the purpose of concealing the identification of a motor vehicle.
•Noel E. Morris, 35, 1775 Timothy Road, Athens, was sentenced after she pled guilty to the following charges: habitual violator (five years probation), DUI/alcohol (12 months probation), failure to maintain lane (12 months of probation), no proof of insurance (12 months probation) and removing/affixing license plate with intent to conceal (12 months probation). She is also required to pay fines totaling $2,850 and was given special conditions of intensive probation supervision.
•The following charges were dismissed for Kayla McGaha: possession of a controlled substance and possession of a knife or firearm during the commission of a crime. A “not guilty” verdict was issued in April 2010 on the following charges: DUI/drugs, two counts of endangering a child by DUI and driving while license suspended or revoked.
