Transco Road was temporarily shut down for over an hour and a half Feb. 13 after a transfer truck hauling shavings overturned near Winns Lake Road and Davids Home Church Road shortly after 8 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly had neck and back injuries. Diesel fuel and oil were spilled on the roadway.
Other recent incidents reported to the county 911 office included:
•A 37-year-old woman was struck by a car on her left side while she was running on Hwy. 98 at 4:48 p.m., Feb. 12. Her injuries were reportedly not life threatening.
•A fire was reported at Columbia Farms Feed Mill on Hwy. 72 at 5:24 p.m. Feb. 9. According to the 911 report, a “fire in one of the pellet cores on the second floor” was reported. Comer and Carlton Volunteer Fire Departments responded and got the fire under control.
•A motor vehicle accident with injuries was reported on Hwy. 174 at 7:12 a.m., Feb. 10. According to the 911 report, the “vehicle rolled several times.” The injuries were reportedly not life threatening.
•A vehicle fire was reported at Foodlane on Hwy. 72 shortly after noon Feb. 12.
•Collins and Danielsville fire departments responded to a fire at a home on Wildcat Bridge Road in Danielsville at 1:42 Feb. 11. Everyone was reported out of the house. The fire reportedly started at the chimney.
•A structure fire was reported at a Joe Cooper Road home in Danielsville. Smoke was reported “coming from under the house.” Ila and Poca departments responded.
•A four-wheeler was reported on fire at 3:20 p.m., Feb. 13, at a Miller McElreath Road residence.
