Madison County High School senior Taylor Hall has been named this year’s STAR student.
He selected Latana Coile, his AP U.S. History teacher at MCHS as his STAR teacher. This is the sixth time Coile has been selected by a Madison County student as their STAR teacher.
The pair was honored at a Madison County Chamber of Commerce breakfast this month, which was sponsored by EMC Security.
“We are very proud of Mr. Hall and Mrs. Coile and the academic excellence they exemplify at Madison County High,” Chamber Executive Director Marvin White said.
Hall said he plans to attend the University of Georgia in the fall where he will study electrical engineering, a new program of study at UGA, which will make him a member of one of the first graduating classes in this major.
