Hall named 2012 STAR student

Hall is a member of the praise band at Colbert Baptist Church. He is the son of Lee and Christel Hall.

Hall said he is honored to have achieved STAR student recognition and believes it is a representation of what he can accomplish when he applies himself. He said he hopes to eventually earn a master’s degree in his field of study and use his education to give back to his community.

Hall said he chose Coile as his STAR teacher because she has a “heart for her students.” He said he learned much more than history in her class, including time management and study skills.

Coile said that being selected as Hall’s STAR teacher is the highlight of her teaching career, because of who Hall is.

“He is a very humble young man,” Coile said, adding that he “stuck it out” in her class despite being unsure when he first started. “He has continued to grow as a student and a person, he is very deserving,” she said. “…He is very self-assured of where he stands and his core is truth.”
