The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who burglarized the Marketplace Grocery Store on Sams Grove Road in Danielsville on Labor Day, Monday, September 1.
According to the incident report, someone broke into the store by cutting a hole through sheetrock in the cooler room in back of the store with a small sheetrock saw. After gaining access to the building, they reportedly took approximately 250 cartons of cigarettes and $700 in cash, two office computers and a DVR system that was hooked to security cameras. The perpetrators also tore up the security system and cut the phone line going into the store.
The items and cash stolen from the store were valued at $10,950.
