A Hull couple was arrested last week following a domestic altercation at a home on Diamond Hill Neese Road.
Tina Faye Clements, 40, 2363 Diamond Hill Road, was charged with one count of aggravated assault, while Harry Clay Taylor, 46, of the same address, was charged with one count of battery.
According to the incident report, deputies arrived on the scene to find Taylor and Clements arguing in the living room. Both appeared to have been drinking and both reportedly had fresh blood on their clothing, along with cuts and bruises.
Taylor also had a piece of his ear missing. Taylor told deputies that he and Clements had argued earlier in the evening after Clements asked him to take her to buy some crack cocaine. When he refused and went to lie down, Clements reportedly entered the bedroom and struck him on the head with an aluminum baseball bat. Clements however, stated that the two of them were lying in bed when they began to argue and that Taylor “hauled off and punched her in the mouth.”
Clements said Taylor attacked her as she went down the hallway and that she picked up the bat and struck him in self defense. Blood on the bed indicated that the fight had taken place in the bedroom, according to the report and Clements was deemed the primary aggressor due to inconsistencies in her statement and taken to jail. Taylor was taken to the hospital by a family member for his injuries and later booked.
