Madison County BOC to meet Monday

The Madison County Board of Commissioners will meet at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 8, in the county government complex.

Agenda items include:

•Chairman Wesley Nash — proclamation for the new middle school

•Chairman Nash — proclamation recognizing Sept. 8 as Madison County International Literacy Day.

•Chairman Nash — chairman’s report to the board.

OLD BUSINESS:

•County Attorney Mike Pruett — amendment to the Animal Control Ordinance.

•Chairman Nash — agreement with DOT regarding existing Hwy. 72.

NEW BUSINESS:

•Chief Appraiser James Flynt — GIS RFP pre-open authorization.

•Chief Appraiser Flynt — conservation use covenants.

•EMS Director Dwayne Patton — EMS station.

•Human Resources Director Donna Sisk — employee physical exams.

•Dennis Wood — final plat on a five-lot subdivision.

•Commissioner Mike Youngblood — Glen Carrie Road turn lane.

•Chairman Nash — location for Madison County DFCS in case of an emergency.

•Chairman Nash — FY 2009 aging services contract.

•Chairman Nash — permit for a utility facility encroachment

•Chairman Nash — road projects.

•Urgent matters.
