A Hull woman was arrested recently after officer Brandon Hanley was summoned to the home regarding an intoxicated man who called for help with a young child.
The child’s mother, Jamie Leigh Marker, 29, 71 Fernwood Drive, was charged with cruelty to children (deprivation of necessary sustenance) in the first degree.
According to the incident report, Hanley arrived with EMS and another officer to meet with the caller, who told them he was drunk and that there was a 3-year old child in the bedroom asleep. The man was hardly able to stand or speak, Hanley noted. Hanley then went into the bedroom, where he found the entire floor and the child’s clothing covered in dog feces. When Hanley asked the man where the child’s mother was, he replied that she was “out with her boyfriend.” The man said she had come to pick him up because he was too drunk to walk and then went out to see her boyfriend. Several phone calls to the mother (Marker) produced no results. The man, Anthony Travis Telligman, 23, of the same address, was taken into custody on a warrant from Henry County.
DFCS was then contacted regarding the child and a caseworker came to the home. Marker eventually returned home and told Hanley she didn’t know Telligman was “that intoxicated” but just thought he was tired of walking. A look through the cabinets and refrigerator showed a “severe lack of food in the home” and an “un-livable amount of dog feces on the floor throughout the home.” Hanley noted that the dogs were allowed to defecate on clothing, pillows, beds, etc. Photos were taken and the child was removed from the home to be placed with a family member. Marker was arrested and taken to jail.

So sorry to hear of your accident. I hope you are able to have proper support services. I do know the brain is very malleable to thought exercises; it just takes a long time with constant repetition. Keep hangin' in there!
NO EXCUSE. Your boyfriend isn't more important, puppies aren't more important, depression isn't more important.
If you're THAT depressed, send your child to a family member, fix yourself and get them back. Children are always the ones that suffer from their parents selfishness. I think DFCS is too easy on parents like you.
