A 20-year-old man and a juvenile were charged after they reportedly shot out a window on a school bus as it drove by in Three Rivers Court last week.
William Shyenne Cowart, 20, 480 Buddy Moore Road, Colbert, was charged with reckless conduct and criminal interference with government property.
According to the incident report, Cowart and the juvenile were allegedly in their bedroom shooting a high-powered BB gun through their window at glass bottles on the ground as the bus passed. A BB ricocheted and busted the glass on the bus.
A female student was treated by EMS at the scene for superficial scratches and slight swelling.

Wouldn't this be considered a Federal crime? Since a school bus is government property? The juvenile should be charged as an adult in Federal court and charge the 20 year old right along with him. If they only get a slap on the wrist for this who's to say next time they won't be shooting a .22 or something with more power and kill someone? They have both proved they are not responsible enough to have a firearm? That's one of the first rules you learn in firearms safety? Make sure there is nothing beyond your target. If there is DON'T SHOOT.
