The Cottage, Sexual Assault Center & Children’s Advocacy Center — which serves Madison County — is seeking nominations for its first-annual “Person of Courage Award.”
The Cottage is accepting nominations throughout the month of May for outstanding first responders — law enforcement, fire department and EMT members — within Clarke, Oconee, Madison and Oglethorpe Counties.
The Cottage will hold its first-annual gathering on Sunday, July 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Bishop Park in Athens where the “Person of Courage” will be announced.
“This award honors individuals who strive toward the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment, who excel in their chose field, devote time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and forge paths of leadership for others to follow,” Cottage officials said.
