Thank God for friends that are willing to put their personal gain to the side to help a church build and grow in the sight of God. Harvey Joe Haggard was grateful enough to bring his equipment to the Anchor Church and perform work to help us break the grounds for a resting place for God’s people. He was willing to share his time, equipment, and expertise, setting aside his personal gain for the good of others. He performed with expertise and diligence to accomplish the need we had. At the close of the work performed, he was only willing to accept very little to cover expenses of his equipment. Thanks for a job well done.
As he was preparing to move his equipment, little did we know that someone needed the batteries (six of them at $100-plus each) and cables (unknown quantity at $2.60 per foot) necessary for the operation of his equipment? This was probably sold to a scrap vendor for less than $50 dollars.
Thieves will destroy thousands of dollars of hardworking folk’s property for the few cents they receive. Now we will have to take from money that could have gone to help those in need and pay a thief’s ransom. He gave while another took from the work of God. It is a sad day in our society when people that are down on their luck, strung out on drugs, or whatever their problem is see the need to take from those who are working hard to make a living in this failing economy.
We need people in our society to stand up against these thieves and quit purchasing the things that are taken from the hardworking people. If no one would buy their stolen items, they would have to stop stealing and go to work. Of course, they would have to pass a drug test and when they did, it would make them productive in society. What a thought! Get off drugs and get an honest job!
If you see suspicious activities, please call 911. Help the hardworking man!
Sincerely,
Wendell G. Hanley
Pastor, The Anchor Church
I'm not saying its right that somebody stole from another individual but the working class is being robbed blind in this country by people addicted to the most prominent drugs of all money, greed and power. Perhaps when we can become rational enough to understand that then we might actually have a chance at real change that's good for us all . As a spiritual person and a child of God the church should be forgiving of this person for which they know not of their motive other than assumption and do as your God would have you do to seek them out not for revenge but to offer them help and forgiveness. WWJD. Does that have no meaning anymore. Today a little kindness can go a long way but a dollar wont get you very far anymore.
Which is the worse criminal?
