NICHOLSON - Don Bettis, 54, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Bettis was born in Austell, Ga., to George Franklin Bettis of Murrayville, Tenn., and the late Betty Jean Hurst Bettis. He was employed as a truck driver with Triple H Transport.

Survivors in addition to his father, include his significant other, Angela Altice, Nicholson; son, Jonathan Avery Bettis, Hull; daughter, Jennifer Nicole Bettis, Carnesville; brothers, Gerald Bettis, Commerce and Dennis Bettis, Murrayville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Saturday, July 14 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Mr. Tom Barrett officiating.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce was in charge of arrangements.
