Colbert man arrested after dispute

Michael Joseph Ward, 48, 496 Childers Road, Colbert, was charged with one count of marijuana possession less than an ounce.

Officer Gary Floyd went to the scene where Ward’s wife, who appeared drunk, told him that her husband began to argue with her after he came home from going out. She also told Floyd that her “vice” was drinking and smoking pot. Ward then told Floyd he did not like to drink, however he did like to smoke pot. He said he grabbed his wife after she charged at him. His wife then told Floyd that her husband had pot in their house and brought out a pipe with a green leafy substance in it. She said there was also a black box that had the “dope” in it. Ward gave permission for his truck to be searched and Floyd found the box in plain view in the truck. The box contained various drug tools, a scale, a small grinder and several marijuana roaches.

•Cynthia Celeste Bolmon, 29, 188 Paradise Valley Road, Danielsville, two counts of forgery.

•Author Raymond Bray, 50, 330 Hebron Church Road, Commerce, failure to appear.

•Roger Eugene Bray, 58, 5583 Neese-Commerce Road, Commerce, failure to appear.

•Daniel Ray Cook, 38, 583 Neese-Commerce Road, Commerce, failure to appear.

•Reginald ONeal Dowdy, 33, 94 Green Ridge Court, Colbert, DUI/alcohol, speeding and open container. (GSP)
