McCain walks the walk? He just spat on America’s security by selecting a VP he doesn’t even know. She said right on camera she doesn’t know what a VP does. It’s the equivalent of hiring a secretary who can’t type. A lot of guys are excited by her, but is that what we really need in Washington? That level of irresponsibility in a man running for president is shocking. For months, McCain has been saying that experience matters. Apparently, he did not mean a word that he said. He chose a VP with the very qualities he condemns in his opponent. That bothers me. I think honesty matters even more than experience.
But, Fox News reports that Palin’s years as mayor of a town (the size of Elberton) will make her ready to run the nation if need be. They reported that Alaska is next to Russia, which counts as “foreign policy experience.” Doesn’t it bother you what Fox will say, no matter how ridiculous, and expect you to believe it?
Every day Fox is saying Obama is “elite.” Please, don’t confuse “elite” with “educated.” Elite is when you wear an outfit valued at $300,000 to the convention as Cindy McCain did. A $300,000 outfit! You think they know what us regular folks need? Elite is when you have so many houses, you’ve lost track. (It’s around 13 — they get to them in their family jet). Elite is when you ridicule local organizers who strive to make a difference in the community. Elite is McCain’s $520 Ferragamo shoes. Elite is when you inherited all your money from the sell of alcohol, which has wrecked more homes than all other causes combined, and yet claim to be the standard of your family values. “Arrogance,” however, is when you repeatedly call the other guy “elitist” and think no one will notice. The only source comparing Obama to Jesus is Fox.
It harkens back to honesty. I assume you are aware of McCain’s multiple extra-marital affairs. He admitted them on camera. Not one or two, but multiple admitted affairs. Granted it was 30 years ago, so according to Fox it doesn’t really count. But how about candidate McCain currently running against legislation that legislator McCain introduced? His promises to cut spending? At no time since 1945 when Republicans have been in total charge of both elected branches of government have they reduced spending. (They always say it, but have never delivered it.) However, I think the saddest abuse of honesty comes when McCain plays to the nation that he is a maverick — same party, same people, same base, same failed policies, and the same approaches to our problems. Twenty six years in Washington, and yet he’s running as an “outsider?” That’s audacity upside-down.
Everyone should take a moment and look up the financial news sites and see who owns the stock of Fox news. One Saudi prince owns an alarming percentage of Fox, (Kingdom Holdings). Don’t take my word for it, look it up. They are required to post it. You think this Saudi prince would want an alternative energy, anti-war candidate to win? Do you think that might affect what O’Reilly reports or how interviews are done on Fox? Research the other holding companies that also own massive percentages of Fox and see how much oil and coal and war industries they also hold in their portfolios. It is an eye opener. Fox, CNN — they are not in the news business, they are in the molding of public opinion business. Some more easily molded than others. Do we really want the debate for president to be decided by opinions sold by Fox News?

Thank you Chris for the great research. You hit the
nail on the head about McCain and the Republican Party
and on Fox News.
I hope more people see how the Republican party has
acted in the last 8 years.
In the 2000 election, both parties ran good campaigns
without (too much) mud slinging. But once the Republicans
got into the White House, they became a different party.
A party of greed, lies, and deceptions....an "anything to
win" attitude all the while destroying our economy and
spending all of our tax payers money (and then some).
People, listen to what Chris Young is saying...its real...
McCain has constantly lied to get in office.
And his lack of support for the MIA-POW agencies around the US
has really ticked me off....here is a vet and former MIA who
doesn't care about the Vietnam POW's and MIA's. What is his
hang up on this issue? That's all we heard at the
convention, yet he won't even listen to these groups.
Good article Chris....glad people are starting to see
through the glimer and shine that resides on the surface
of the McCain campaign.
I am a liberal. I am scared. I'm obviously not running. Nor am I lying.
To support the conscious misleading of others, as some seem to promote, is to support lies against country. Is winning worth more than honesty?
