Cruelty to children reported on Eugene Hardman Road

According to the incident report, which was filed as “cruelty to children in the first degree,” the deputy found the child and a neighbor at the residence, who stated that the child had been there since the bus dropped him off and could not get inside.

The neighbor said his family had fed the boy supper and the boy had told him he was frequently left by himself, sometimes all night, and sometimes while locked out of the house. The boy was taken into protective care by Madison County DFACS and an investigation opened. The boy reportedly lives with his mother and sister.
