Danielsville woman charged with DUI

Angela Meko Peters, 45, 2219 Hwy. 29 North, was charged with DUI/alcohol after officer Alan Stratton was sent to Grady Lane in Danielsville. Upon arriving at Grady Lane, he found a man standing at the end of the road. The man told him he and his girlfriend got into an argument while traveling back from Jackson County and as they turned into his driveway she (Peters) stopped her car and as he got out she kicked him from behind to push him out.

He said he did not call 9-1-1 and did not want to press charges. About this time, a red PT Cruiser came down Grady Lane and Stratton identified Meko behind the wheel. She appeared intoxicated, but told Stratton it had been a “couple of hours” since she drank two beers and had later gone to pick up her son in Jackson County. She tested positive for alcohaol in a roadside test and was arrested. The vehicle was turned over to her son.

•Robert Lee Jennings, Jr., 29, 1111 Thomas Heights, Hull, two counts of probation violation.

•Roy Oneal Looney, 62, 9455 Jefferson Road, Comer, hold for Jackson County.

•Tiara Michela Martin, 24, 129 Carriage Court, Athens, probation violation.

•Phillip Scott Moon, 35, 317 Vineyard Creek Church Road, Comer, DUI/drugs, weaving over roadway, obstruction, unlawful for jail inmate to possess any controlled substance, drugs, gun or dangerous weapon, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and prescription drugs must be in original container.

•Armando Negrette-Arellano, 39, 25 Sanders Road, Hartwell, driving without a valid license and speeding.

•George Dempsey Parker, 20, no address listed, obstruction, burglary and theft by taking.

•Christopher Arlington Scott, 50, homeless, public drunkenness.
