Madison County Industrial Development and Building Authority executive director Marvin White read the following report to county commissioners Aug. 27:
“Hwy. 29 plans have been sent to EPD for approval. The project will be out for bid next week with Oct. 1 as bid opening date. The authority approved a loan grant of $1.5 million at 2.13 percent interest with $450,000 forgiveness of loan amount on this project.
“The authority set the millage rate the same as last year with over $57,000 less revenue due to a large decrease in total valuation of properties in the county.
“The Harrison area has a new ISO fire rating of 5/9. This should help with insurance costs for much of the Harrison area. The new rating will go into effect October 2012. Residents should see a reduction in their insurance premium when their insurance policy renewal date comes around.
“The authority sold 7,938,390 gallons of water in July.”
