Hull man charged with obstruction

Stephen Dave Marlow, 23, Neese Mobile Home Park, Lot 8, was charged with obstruction, giving false name or birthdate to law enforcement officers and a probation violation.

According to the incident report, officer Brandon Moss was on patrol when he saw a vehicle turn abruptly into an Old Elberton Road residence without a turn signal. He initiated a traffic stop in the driveway and the passenger (Marlow) attempted to go inside the residence. He was told to get back in the vehicle and he complied. While Moss was checking the driver’s license, the passenger jumped from the vehicle and ran behind the residence. Moss chased and caught up with him behind a residence on Charlie Bolton Road, where he was handcuffed.

He admitted that he had furnished Moss with a false name and gave him his real name. Moss then discovered that Marlow had active warrants out of Madison, Jackson and Morgan counties.

In another arrest, Carla Jamily Greer, 19, 361 Sanders Drive, Hull, was charged with one count of simple battery after she allegedly struck a woman she was arguing with in the mouth. Greer told officer Josh Fowler that the woman “would not shut up so I hit her.”

•Joni Lynn Black, 32, 158 Freeman Fowler Lane, Danielsville, theft by shoplifting, prescription drugs must be in their original container, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of a schedule III controlled substance.

•Austin Kyle Bogue, 20, 1577 Hwy. 172, Colbert, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug-related objects.

•Ottis Lloyd Booth, 45, 145 Planter Gunnell Road, Hull, driving while license suspended or revoked, knowingly driving a motor vehicle on suspended, canceled or revoked registration, tag light required, open container and order to incarcerate.

•Adam Wayne Bradshaw, 26, 1499 Main Street, Comer, driving while license suspended or revoked. (Comer PD)

•Clinton Price Chapman, 35, 360 Providence Road, Athens, marijuana possession less than an ounce, hunting under the influence of alcohol or drugs and hunting without a big game license. (DNR)

•Travis Lee Cowart, 34, 158 Fowler Freeman Lane, Danielsville, theft by shoplifting.
