MCHS softball team captures Region 8-AAAA title

The Madison County Raider softball team won the region 8-AAAA title Thursday night 7-3 over Walnut Grove. The Raiders led 4-3 through five and a half innings before breaking loose for three in the bottom of the six. Randee Bettis was the winning pitcher and Alexis Damron pitched in relief. Madison County will now host #4 seed LaGrange next Wednesday night in the first round of the state playoffs. By Dallas Bordon
