MCHS softball team advances to second round of state

The softball Raiders continued their winning ways by defeating LaGrange 10-1 and 6-3 on Wednesday night to advance to the next round of the state tournament. Randee Bettis was the winning pitcher in game one and Alexis Damron picked up the win in the nightcap. Madison County will host the next round. Game times for the second round of the state playoffs (Sweet Sixteen) vs Heritage-Catoosa have been set for 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday and the (if) game for 5 p.m. on Thursday.
