Dear Editor:
This letter is in response to a question I asked at the “eggs and issues” breakfast to our state delegation and the article that was printed in last week’s Journal.

I agree; it's long past time. Apparently, our senator is either misinformed or wants to paint the state in a false good light for some reason. Property tax is wrong. Citizens should not be at risk of losing their very homes and the land that gives them income just because of a bad year or two. Also, all public schools should be given the same amount of money by the state regardless of the wealth of their communities. Just because a kid grows up in southwest Georgia is no reason to gip him/her on education while those who happen to grow up in a wealthy community get stadiums, theaters and all kinds of opportunities denied those in less wealthy areas. That's just wrong. We need a whole new system for schools and for funding local governments.

Every time Frank Ginn opens his mouth, his lack of knowledge of state law and state government becomes more and more evident. Mr. Ginn is an embarrassment to the district. And even to himself.
