On the first day of April, 1939, my parents drove from Neese to Jefferson to be married. It was an elopement of sort. My grandmother did not much approve of the wedding.
As a part of their celebration, they each listed the one item they had to have to start their life together. Mother chose a family Bible with the register pages between the two testaments where she could record the family events such as births, weddings, funerals and such. That was their first purchase.
My father decided that as his primary job was to put food on the table, he needed a shotgun for small game hunting. So he found a used 12 gauge single shot that he bought for $4. Our menu often included rabbit, squirrel and dove. He was a dead shot with that old gun. Very few of his shells were ever wasted.
Wild rabbits were the preferred game. Father had an uncanny ability to see them hiding in the briar patch. He was very proud of his one-shot, one-rabbit record. Shotgun shells were expensive, even then.
Neither that old gun; nor the old Bible have any practical value. If you walk into a pawn shop with them in hand, they would laugh at you. But as family heirlooms, they are of great sentimental value.
I tell you this story in light of the current gun debate. Yes, I have guns, several of them. And they all are well maintained. But none of them have been fired in a number of years. Each of them has some kind of historic or family interest.
It is unlikely that government would try to seize these firearms because they have no military use. No one is likely to be injured by any of them. But in today’s society, I cannot be sure.
I am a strong defender of all things Constitutional. And it bothers me when specific constitutional provisions are neglected, misinterpreted or attacked. Our Second Amendment is often subjected to all three abuses. That is especially true of its intent. The gun control advocates argue that the Second Amendment allows private possession of guns for sports and hunting. But that is not what the amendment says.
“Amendment II. A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”
Clearly, the purpose of the amendment is to assure that this nation will always have an effective militia to protect our families, our communities and our nation. Thus, it is precisely those military-type weapons that are protected, the same weapons that most frequently come under attack by those who would impose gun limits on our citizens in direct violation of this law. Had a well-armed and trained militiaman been present at each of the recent attacks, the loss of life would have been limited if not prevented.
It is not only the Second Amendment that is under attack, of course. The freedom of religion quotes are being distorted in order to eradicate faith from out nation. The Interstate Commerce clause is the most abused part of the Constitution. It is used to justify any and all regulations that the federal government can imagine, far beyond what the clause was intended to address. Freedom of speech is a joke in today’s America.
I agree with the calls for a new Constitutional Convention, not to change the Constitution, but to purge it of the misuse and abuse so heavily applied to its interpretation today. The writers of this valuable document knew what they were doing.
The Constitution, as written, is all we need for a good, effective government that leaves us free to conduct our lives as we wish. We need to recover it and restore our freedom and liberty.

Yet the tell us we shouldn't have the 2nd amendment rights.
While Bush 2 passed the unconstitutional Patriot Act in the middle of the night without any Congressional oversight. Which is anything but patriotic.
The Patriot Act drove a stake through the heart of the Bill of Rights, violating at least six of the 10 original amendments – the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Amendments – and possibly the 13th and 14th Amendments, as well.” If you look them up, you’ll feel the urgency of Thomas Paine’s warning: “It is the duty of the patriot to protect his country from its government.” Paine would have a lot to say about President Barack Obama and the mostly lockstep Democrats in Congress, not to mention most Republicans.
Now with Obama adding insult to injury by furthering the assault on our liberties by passing National Defense Authorization Act including a controversial component that would allow the military to indefinitely detain terror suspects, including American citizens arrested in the United States, without charge.
This was already ruled on by the supreme court as being unconstitutional while Lincoln was in office he also tried to suspend Habeas Corpus. [ hàybee əss káwrpəss ] a
writ ordering any detained person into court: a writ issued in order to bring somebody who has been detained into court, usually for a decision on whether the detention is lawful.
These people sworn to uphold what even they call the law of the land ,yet they do not honor or abide by it. Now they are trying to tell us that we have to obey any Federal law they pass .
Bush Jr called our Constitution nothing more than a piece of paper.
Clinton said we were to free and wanted a one world government and national ID cards.
Bush Senior was even worse.
Now Obama continues to rip us all apart and congress for the most part sits quietly by and does nothing or even goes along with it.
Well perhaps its time we decided to declare that any laws they have passed since are also just pieces of paper.
You really want them telling us we have to give up our right to bare arms? A right as all others are given by our creator. The 9th amendment should also be referenced to see what rights we really have. Under our present Federal law the Government can not amend or change any of our Bill of Rights by executive order. All amendments have to passed by 2 thirds majority in Congress and then ratified by the States.
We have suffered a very long train of abuses by this Government and the time is now to get your heads out of the sand and step forward put and end to this now.
Perhaps they know that the writing is truly on the wall and that this type of government's end is close at hand and what better way to run us into the ground ,then by trying to take the only way we truly have to fight back.
Ron Paul during his entire career fought against all of these things and was labeled a lunatic by both parties and the media . Well all I can say is the people have what they voted for .
How do you like him now ?
We have our Second Amendment Right clearly for no other reason than to put down this type of Government and re institute one that will better serve us . We The People.
Not for hunting or sports shooting but to defend against a tyrannical Government.
If anybody would bother to read the Declaration Of Independence it tells us that its not only our right but our duty to throw off any such government.
This Country will only survive if we the people take it back from those who are trying to bankrupt us and steal our country. To dislike and distrust your government is healthy . To hate your country and fellow countrymen will be fatal.
The 16th Amendment was never ratified either. If you bother to research it , our income tax system is called a voluntary compliance system by the tax commissioner himself. Yet if you have nothing to volunteer with see what happens .
Stop fighting over the lies being spread and educate yourself to the facts.
We have spent trillions on wars that only enrich those who profit from war yet we are no safer and our youth and wealth has been squandered or laundered you decide. To defend our freedoms and liberty . Really .
While the government at any whim decides to just take them for the untruthful reasons they give .

Why such a panic over gun rights?
First of all Executive Order is not law.
Executive order only applies to the Federal Government and is not the law .
Second If you wish not to have a firearm you don't have to own one .
However I do see a double standard here from those in government and others who support this action.
The government and the military use guns and weapons far more destructive to human life and property to supposedly free others around the world from tyranny and promote democracy, yet tell us we shouldn't own one or have that right.
Our own government agents use these same weapons along with law enforcement to enforce laws.
This to me would seem to be a double standard full of hypocrisy.
Sure accidents do and will happen with all things including automobiles etc.etc. Yet we don't even mention doing away with automobiles or disarming the government and police .
Why is that ?
I agree we need some common sense solutions to keep guns out of the hands of people who are mentally unstable after all you wouldn't give a driver license to a blind person would you ? Even though some of the lunatics in government found it necessary to put braille on ATM machines at the drive threw at your bank.
If you are going to own a firearm, proper gun safety should be taught to any child or person you have in your home and kept away from any children to small to know better. They should be kept away from those who have mental illness also.
Even more importantly we need to keep some logical perspective here.
For one we need to keep in mind that because the media runs something over and over does not mean we have a epidemic of something in our country and fear can be a powerful weapon.
i.e. Ana Nichole and Michael Jackson ,OJ Simpson ,Child abductions , gun violence ,etc.etc.
The government and many others use every media source to promote propaganda to try and advance their ideology and agendas. Nothing new.
There are many people who own firearms without incident.
Removing guns from the entire world will not stop violence anymore than the death penalty or life in prison stops murder. If that were true then we would not have such a violent history of the world before firearms.
As ml stated above about the father whose child lost his life from that fathers carelessness, that is the fault of that person and he will have to live with that guilt the rest of his life.
The carelessness was the problem not the firearm.
Just as Joshua's law was passed and has cost all of us even those of us who try to teach our children that automobiles can be very dangerous and not a toy .This has had little impact on drivers safety . I also was in a drivers safety course when I was young and it was dropped from the school because studies showed it actually caused more accidents by those who took it thinking they could actually drive better than they really could because of the class they took.
I will say as I have always said that to punish the masses for the faults or mistakes of a few is not nor will it ever be the solution or justice.
Ben Franklin once said,
We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.
He also once said, They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
The Connecticut Shooting was a terrible thing but not much of any common sense solutions have been offered up. Some might do well to study Edward Bernays and his public relations agenda. It might give some insight into reality. Which I might mention is only what an individual perceives it to be. So question all things and do not buy into the redirect. Seek out the truth for yourself and you will find it.
We need to have a better way of dealing with mentally ill people that would be a good start.
As for school safety with everyone owning a computer now days and the technology we have why aren't we all home schooling . No busing ,no school buildings ,a reduction of the tax burden for that entire system. Not to mention it might even reduce some pollution . Something for everyone.
Food prices because of weather conditions . Do we not have the technology or intelligent s to grow inside in a controlled environment ?
Perhaps those who benefit more from crop failure don't want to change.
The quiet dogmas of the past are inadequate for the present . So we must think anew and then we will find honest and true solutions.
I will say in close that if we are to trust and believe in those who wish to call themselves our leaders but once were our representatives, they must first stand up and take responsibility for where they have led us. Look at our country and our economy and neither side wants to accept the responsibility. Its always either the democrats fault or the republicans fault. Wrong its our fault for not being a wiser people . The more we ask of government the more they think we are not intelligent enough to do for ourselves . Plus the actions they usually take only create more problems. We have the government we deserve. After all they are in some way just a mirror image of who we have become. As long as we continue to let politics or any other things polarize us and pit us against one another we will never come to any real solutions to any problems that arise in our lives.
".... yet tell us we shouldn't own one or have that right."
Well, I would panic if my government denied gun ownership to everyone, everywhere even though I don't like nor own guns. However, where have so many idiots gotten the idea that our government intends to take away our guns? That's the panic that is soooo ridiculous! How ignorant can people get!
I would like to see no guns anywhere, but it's far too late for that. They are everywhere, legally and illegally, and can be gotten easily anywhere, at any time, even from overseas. Something about a barn door and a horse .......
Some regulation for the sake of the risk from the mentally ill, the risk to suicidal people and the risk from temporary irrational rage is reasonable. It can also assist law enforcement to some extent as a reason to hold a criminal until a proper case can be made for arrest as well as for heavier sentencing for armed crimes.
"As for school safety with everyone owning a computer now days and the technology we have why aren't we all home schooling . No busing ,no school buildings ,a reduction of the tax burden for that entire system. Not to mention it might even reduce some pollution."
Glad to hear someone suggest this; it's highly applicable to higher education as well. There's no reason to do all this moving around and gathering just to learn academics. However, kids do learn how to get along with others better in a typical school environment along with many other social skills. Plus, many children don't have parents good enough and certainly not competent enough to see that their children learn what they should. It should be an option funded by public money, though, just as school choice should be.
I was delighted to discover a new program being tried by Harvard ,MIT, Berkeley ,Wellesley, Georgetown and The University Of Texas System.
They are offering free online courses.
Free of charge to anybody who would like to learn anywhere in the world . That,s awesome ! Its way pass time for this if its really about higher knowledge rather than money . The web address is as follows, www.edx.org.
I have long said we are all paying for college education and health care we just aren't all getting it and perhaps we should end war and get everyone educated and provide health care.
A very good friend of mine has studied abroad in France and Spain . He verified that college is already free to anyone who might want to attend their and has been for some time. Here is the real kick in the pants . They pay no more per capita in taxes than we as Americans do . Plus they all have universal health care and they love it. Straight from the horses mouth . Not from some slanted news source. When will these people just stop lying to us and have open and honest discourse ?
Anybody that reads this, copy the web address and spread it around .
".... perhaps we should end war and get everyone educated and provide health care."
Dream on. We will always have war. However, education and health care are a possibility. See what the Central Asia Institute is doing in northern Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan in order to make us here more secure from terrorism.

As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation"
Mein Kampf, Adolf Hitler
One Nation, Indivisible
The average person may not remember predatory tractor loans made in the 1970's and 80's when vast amounts of land and large numbers of family farms were "taken" by investors after equipment loan defaults. The default and forfeiture of the farm was built directly into the sales contract and ultimately allowed singular interests to gain control of most food production nationwide.
Farmers remaining on their own farms were used as sharecroppers and sold their crops on futures for pennies on the dollar. With control of these markets established, food prices went up, government subsidies to not grow crops increased and bumper crops were gathered and burned rather than reduce value in the marketplace.
Bush Jr. Chaired the Task Force for Regulatory Relief under appointment from Reagan that deregulated speculative discretionary investments that covered such investments which completed the mission started under Carter. The plan worked too well when widespread drought brought more farms into default than investors could afford. Short term losses were paid when congress bailed the FDIC out with our very own social security savings fund. The "S&L Scandal" would evolve into the largest theft ever perpetrated against America, to date.
Now we have over 26,000,000 people on food stamps paying $3.00 per bell pepper, yet picking a $3.00 bell pepper is not profitable enough for any American to do because there is no money in it. Modern agricultural interests prefer the use of less costly immigrant labor with over 20,000,000 Americans underemployed or out of work and the average worker earning 2(two) bell peppers per hour after taxes. This is no accident.
Odd Ollie
The next era would reveal that some in our military were covertly delivering drugs to raise money for the purchase of American arms to supply to keepers of American hostages. A Governor wanted to control the release date of the hostages until after an election, yet "could not recall" those events after the fact. The American people looked the other way or thought some involved patriotic while some went to jail and those drugs went into our streets.
This same administration began a "Just say No" campaign which sounds like a good idea after soliciting drugs; like Budweiser says "drink responsibly" or the lotto says "play responsibly". . .by initiating a "War on drugs" promising to seek out and punish "Kingpins" and "traffickers". Most people thought prosecuting those importing contraband would reduce the amount of available drugs and would be a great idea...after all.
The administration instead enacted a Federal Minimums Policy for drug possession that literally throws persons entire life away behind bars for less than a handful of drugs, and the same "I don't recall" doesn't work at all for your children. Some laws even insist on much "stiffer" penalties for more dilute drugs resulting in decade's longer incarceration for even smaller quantities of actual drug.
The "Land of the Free" has more people incarcerated than the next five countries combined as our systems rob the very lives of those equipped with less willpower as profitable business. The incentive?...the annual bounty of over $100,000 per inmate.
Who gives a Saddam?
A fairly close ally and very important oil trading partner took a miscue and rather than forcibly building an oil pipeline to an ocean port, turns his ragbag army loose on his neighbors' capital which they marauded and stole whatever they could before fleeing.
In an instant, amid world outcry we killed several hundred thousand fleeing military and hostages with CBMs and continued to carpet bomb the whole country "back to the stone age" with "old bombs we needed to get rid of anyway" if memory of older ordinance and attitude are correct.
What was expected to become very profitable as sanctions allowed "food for oil" became very costly instead when no oil shipments were made, food rotted on the docks and oil was being sold in currencies other than American dollars. . .while America maintained a no fly zone! Gas prices gained to record highs. . .
As a Country we've paid dearly to secure these interests and correct this problem and indeed the "Mission Accomplished" was securing crude oil production. "Won the war" is misinterpretation.
The seized financial assets of an evil dictator with nearly 30 years of oil sales should have been very sizable, but more than $10 billion per month went on Americas' (our children's) tab making me wonder just how profitable nation building must be. . .and to whom? If Germany only recently paid off some war debt, what are we expecting/getting in return for our personal vestment?
Wars on this, Wars on that
Another commodity soon came up for grabs when Russia lost control of its opiate producing interests and the good ole US of A stepped up and poisoned poppy fields to take control in a way that no bullet ever could, by hitting them in the pocketbook. This is now on record as America's longest war and we're still being told it is because of one guy, or due to the war on terror.
Fact is, while we maintain controls on opiate markets there are over 22 million (22,000,000) Americans addicted to opiate pain medication and it sounds like a "war on drugs", but who's on the drugs? Considering our Federal Government was founded on a $20 Gallon liquor tax, what's more likely than they're just after their cut since there are no limits on pill production.
We borrow over 40% (0.40+ cents) of every single tax dollar our government spends, mostly from our own Federal Reserve which has holdings upwards of 100 Trillion Dollars while we pay the Federal Reserve roughly a Trillion dollars in interest every year, we also payback the amount we must borrow every year.
Folks we spend 53% (0.53 cents) of every single tax dollar on defense and our full time soldiers live near poverty. Our paranoia is extremely profitable to some, yet our best defense is still to remove our shoes at the airport. The worst terror event our Country ever experienced was committed with plastic knives and cellular phones but we're still being strangled by trillions of dollars in new debt. How many times and how many ways do we have to pay??
Precious Blood to the Perfect Heist. . .
The growing resentment of war was reflected in the midterm election and perceived as a slap in the face to those holding the house only 8 of the last 40 years. The enraged and powerful of the party continued to "globalize" and pulled funding from onshore projects and moved asset offshore to further destabilize consumer banks already overextended with large amounts of unsecured consumer debt. Much ado was made of predatory lending and the media escalated feared losses of home equity, later estimated to be correctable in every respect for $100,000,000. . .a mere ripple nationally.
Home equity was the proverbial "red herring" as stock markets were manipulated under a cloak of "shifting consumer confidence" and years of investment equity held in personal 401k retirement funds became lost in a "stock crash".
Some say it was a computer glitch or the wrong number of digits having been entered during a transaction, but "too big to fail" banks showed insolvent and the "bubble burst" with 401k investors losing 40% of their retirement funds in what was called a "correction".
Bush 42 provided funds borrowed from the Federal Reserve to bail-out investment banks that then used the funds to purchase devalued stock. The year after the crash market volume of trading was over 10,000 shares again with most loans already repaid.
The people investing for a half generation in 401k retirement stock funds bought the rollercoaster they'd been told so much about and were forced out at the bottom and the investment banks kept the tickets. Now in the midst of the second great depression with trading volume well over 13,000 shares. . .clearly they'll do "just fine". . .
If I had a Nickel, I'd be a corporate raider. . .
We've had a presidential candidate who speaks the code that we are supposed to be too dumb to understand yet the wealthy love to hear. He proudly espouses that the top 5% of income earners pay 60% of all taxes and will not pay any less! The fact is that if high earners were to pay less than 60% of taxes, it would be due to them sharing more profits with their employees who pay much higher personal tax rates. Clearly, far more would be going to the government to pay our debt if the top 5% paid less than 60% by paying their employees more fairly, but this is how business limits and controls government by not paying its employees more.
If the top 5% of income earners, (very, very few people), pay 60% of all taxes at around the 10-12% rate after deductions, how much money are they really making? My estimates would be they are pocketing 90% of all profits generated from onshore businesses and nearly 100% of offshore. The average American may be far more successful with this tax advantage. . .if they didn't go to jail.
This same candidate stated that the reason most businesses struggle or fail is that they pay a personal tax rate as opposed to the capital gains tax rate that he pays. Why is everyone else so uninformed of the tax law he uses and why is everyone paying so much if they don't have to? Why are we criminally liable for fraud if we mistakenly pay too little, but the government can apparently receive this overpayment from so many taxpayers and not make any effort to inform or repay its citizens?
Class Warfare, You don't say. . .
We live within a socialistic society which by its own nature serves to repress and limit our upward mobility. This is why adults with families' now earn the minimum wage and receive public assistance to make ends meet. All of your private information is gleaned to make sure that you'll not have one crumb more than needed and then the top 5% knows that their 60% of taxes are being well spent on what they refer to as the "safety net".
How much money would it take for everyone to live comfortably and have a decent paying job...more than we have? The lower 47% of income earners that we hear spoken of so negatively have less combined asset than just a few individuals within the top 1%. Add a few more individuals and a handful possesses more asset than 200,000,000 Americans combined.
Those possessing generational wealth have dreams of creating dynasties that will grow, not diminish. None of the safeguards like inheritance tax or protection from monopolies will return this money to our system and we will forever be this much poorer and have this much less.
Per capita we're seeing the lowest birthrate since the 1920s', the lowest standard of living ever, the lowest homeownership ever, the highest cost for medical care and education ever, also the highest incarceration and abortion rate in history. Hell, I'd say they don't even want us here. WE are the victims of class warfare.
"Mo' Tea. . ..anyone?"
The people united to form the "Taxed Enough Already". A party borne from history and grassroots effort, and it began with people marching in the streets. The T.E.A. party was the average person sick and tired of paying half of their meager earnings to income, fuel, excise, sales, and sin, luxury, and property, prior, built-in and hidden taxes including "Fees" before they could even pay bills.
If I spend every dollar I ever make on cheeseburgers the government wouldn't care, but penalizes me for investing my hard earned and thoroughly taxed money into something worthwhile, i.e. car, home etc. because my government feels entitled to my possessions and will forever be there with its hand out wanting money because I actually "own" something. THESE are the people who are taxed enough already, not the top 2% of multimillionaires already paying 10% or less tax rates on profits.
This "T.E.A. Party" has now been hijacked by these richest of the rich "AS" the special interest. . .and you never see, never know nor speak with them, those whom interpret their own tax law. Now while we're careening at a fiscal cliff, ask yourself "Who really is controlling this government?" Notice the media attention sought to express discord, fear and chaos, yet continued willingness to send profits offshore and jobs away from America. Ask yourself, who are these "grassroots" posers so determined to get their way that they'll "by damn, destroy the country to get it". We can no longer afford this "Special Interest Government" paying defense contractors nearly a million dollars each per year for an empty shipping container at our grandchildren's expense.
Psychos, S.S.R.I.'s and the 2nd. . .
I've witnessed first hand the pronounced change in individuals' decision making and rationale resulting from the use of Prozac and other S.S.R.I.'s including the death of a close family member. I question why these drug/medications are administered by family practitioners after a patient admits to "feeling a little blue" and there is usually no medical explanation of the need for these medications that are meant to permanently alter the brain.
Most importantly, the GP in an office has no idea of the patients' brain type or brain chemistry being altered. We all grew up hearing that different brains react differently to drugs, but who has a "good" relationship with their doctor and hasn't been sent home with samples of Zoloft and a script so you can "get right on 'em"?
S.S.R.I's provide a new level of relief from inhibition similar to alcohol that can be advantageous to the neurotic and/or inhibited. The "side effects" are suicide and psychotic episodes as has been experienced in multiple school shootings. This is one similarity in all the mass killings, but the media is far more interested in gun control than reality and would prefer to see guns removed than give up profits from pharmacopeia.
Growing up on violent video games alone stunts interactive development resulting in dissociative disorders. Take this same dissocialized kid with psychotic tendencies then remove inhibition via selective serotonin saturation to the level of an advanced cocaine addict and we'll have major gun control in no time. . .
Hmmm, Unoccupied?. . .smells Occupied..ooo
Guess to end my tirade I'd have to mention the Occupy Wall Street (recently, jailhouse) movement. These very well intentioned and disenfranchised youth express a concern for the loss of upward mobility in this post national chain store economy noting very few possibilities for upper-level positions. They are also aware of the vacuum (and ocean) between supply and demand, and of their susceptibility of having to "make do" with their old bedroom for a while longer than planned or until "things get better".
The 26% unemployment rate for one year college graduates makes many question whether "things will get better" as many keep working in minimum wage positions. Most notably the Occupy Movement realized how badly the odds were stacked against them by now with vast volumes of American money having been swept from our Country leaving them and their children saddled with Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars each in debt as we face the lowest standard of living ever while having to compete with 20,000,000 experienced/unemployed/underemployed for a job.
Most Occupiers don't remember when things used to be made here. . .before the generations of pride and ingenuity were boxed up and shipped to third world countries for something called "globalization". Before. . .when all those big empty buildings were bustling with workers and a man could afford a house and wife and children on his salary alone, not forced to have a room mate just to keep an apartment.
This is how Loyalty is repaid Capitalist Style. . .
Heard good news and bad news the other day, the bad news is that we are not preparing adequately for our future and we're sure to lose Social Security and Medicare until at least age 70, but the good news was that China is buying some of this very underpriced real estate that we seem to be burdened with after the foreclosures. . .seems we can't afford to take advantage of it at this time, how considerate. Guess red herring is merchantable, too.
The message is that the machines of capitalism are tweaked for 100% profit so the top 1% gets it all. Capitalism never was about being fair, just fair enough to work. . .and every capitalist needs a worker.
We have a school system that trains us to be team players and to get along with others to achieve a goal, and though necessary these are subservient attributes that never lead to the front of the line or close a sale. Individuality is rewarded far more than teamwork in life and individuality cannot be taught, it must be learned. . .and not on a video game. . .
Whew. . .getting tired of ranting about problems, but if this time allows food for thought and it will have been worth it.
Thanks for reading. . .Davy Mac
We will only continue to have our country and liberties if what the founders gave us lives in the hearts and minds of the people.
We must also be willing to defend it with our own lives.
"The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people.
As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation"
Mein Kampf, Adolf Hitler
This video is on the IMF's website. Nixon mentions the IMF in his address to our nation. Do you even know what the IMF is ?
Here you can learn the modern history of your enslavement from the source. The IMF.org, the BIS.org, and our "Federal Reserve Banking System" are just a few of your many money masters.
Imagine that ? Money created out of thin air. Made not just of printed paper and checkbook money. Imagine the endless flow of
ones and zeros. Electronically created "money" out of nothing. A debt that you and I must work to pay for. After all if we can't pay the principle down, we as a nation must at least pay the interest on this "loan" of "money". Do you get it ? Investigate this as if it is not true .
Go ahead, prove me to be wrong. I dare you.
Prepare to be shocked. Slave.

The founding fathers were ordinary citizens. Not military. Not police. They were common citizens.
The government at the time was, in the opinion of the founding fathers, corrupt (the English government for those who didn't pay attention in history class). To the government these founding fathers were rebels, today they would probably be called terrorists!
The soldiers AT THAT TIME were following the law! They were obeying ORDERS from their commanders and their LEGAL GOVERNMENT. THIS land, AT THAT TIME was legally under English government rule and the soldiers were doing their sworn duty to king and country!
The government had the firearms, the cannons, the war ships, the soldiers and supplies of war. The founding fathers had to obtain these items as best they could, organize armies and equip them to fight a government force which out gunned them.
The government hunted these men, these founding fathers, as criminals. If caught, they faced certain death. It was a serious and deadly thing they did, and it was not done without considerable thought and action.
In the end, against all odds, and with a bit of help from the other "enemies" of England, the founding fathers won.
And they planned ahead. If the government could become corrupt once, it certainly could do so again. If the government did become corrupt again, the common citizen may once again be called upon to stand against and fight the forces of the corrupt government. To do so, the common citizen would need to be well trained in military ways and well armed so as to be able to have a realistic chance to stand against the government military. Therefore, one of the main and primary things that the founding fathers insisted be a part of the guaranteed rights granted to the people of this country, with a CERTAINTY that the government could NOT disallow, is the abliity of the common citizen to own MILITARY GRADE weapons and MILITARY GRADE training, hence the RIGHT to keep and bare arms, and the provision of a well regulated militia (and in this case, well regulated AT THAT TIME meant WELL TRAINED, NOT controlled by the government).
The right to keep and bare arms and the right to have a well regulated militia had NOTHING TO DO with personal protection or hunting or sporting, and EVERYTHING to do with standing against a CORRUPT GOVERNMENT!!!!
And why would a government that is NOT corrupt wish to take away the ability of the common citizen to stand against it?
Think about that while you argue about "gun rights".
Don't mean to be picky or to single you out, but I must point out a recurring mistake in many of these posts that has become a bit irritating. Bare arms are what happens when one wears a sleeveless shirt. Bear arms are quite hairy. The right to BEAR arms is what you want.
Thank you for pointing this out. It was careless on my part and if it helps someone else not make the same mistake, it was well worth the reply.
So you fear your Government Virginia ?
When did the people and our Government become two separate entities ? A Government of the people by the people and for the people . In order to form a more perfect union. What happened to that ? I feel like Rip Van Winkle and I just woke up after a 50 year nap.
