The few who abused this screwed it up for all of us. Wonder if someone should look prior BOA is there anything there of interest and if maybe other counties but remember several years ago this addressed on this board and heated discussion.
Google Madison County BOA and put in dates from say 2008 to 2011 and look for I think conservation approval by the board. Look for your neighbors and see if you agree with this designation and how property was actually being used. May find no problems but I think many people posted on this. No big deal to me but my taxes remain to high. Ms. K if you go all the way to Superior Court on your tax appeal I have heard it costs money that if you win you do not get back but can be wrong there. SO you look into it more but if you are content so be it. I AM JUST TIRED of paying taxes because many others do not pay their share and could.
It's nice to have access to articles in the paper that are not normally included on this web site so that there may be commentary on it, but why not put it all here instead? Then I could stop hassling with the "paper" paper and just pay for the on-line version.
DOT guy around Atlanta had big home on conservation so call land. I think people who live on land and pretend conservation use even though no farming or tree farming should be embarrassed. Can hardly wait till someone tells us all that trees make oxygen so they need that break. Think some used it to their advantage over others that choose honest path as knew not really farm land related. Next get lawyer type that will say the law is the law. The problem with our country is everyone wants something for nothing and others to pay for gub-ment help.

Ms. K I totally agree. I never buy the paper but I see this sight from yahoo.com and click the link. I would pay a few dollars a month for the full paper each month plus being able to comment. The problem would be finding a reasonable price to be profitable because studies show people are so used to free things online they tend to not pay for online subs very often.
The "paper" paper is very cheap, so cheap that the annual fee works out to about $1.60 a month or 40 cents a copy. I'd pay that in a heartbeat to have the whole thing online.
The New York Times on line put up a total pay wall to very ill effect. Then they allowed 20 free articles, then ten, now five, which they should have done in the first place to prevent such a backlash. You'd think somebody at The New York Times would have some inkling of human nature who could have informed them.
Wheres my Check . Including the farm family . Corporations ,Charities ,NASCAR , etc,etc . I just want to know where do I sign up to get mine . Hell I cant keep paying for everybody else to have it . Not enough left over out of my little check to live on.
Leachs get a government job. That way others pay your way and you find ways to hamper those that pay taxes for your support. I took at end of month stretched badly. No I never been in jail or arrested and go I go to church.
Why don't you? You're the one who seems to have the persistent passion to know more. Report back to us here.
