Man on motorcycle faces drug charges

Clint Lee Flanigan, 38, 803 Willis Glenn Road, was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, speeding, reckless driving and driving while license suspended.

According to the incident report, officer Jason Ring spotted Flanigan’s motorcycle going at a high rate of speed (73 mph) in a 45 mph zone. Ring initiated a traffic stop and Flanigan pulled over, threw a black bag into the ditch and then took off at a high rate of speed. Ring pursed him until the motorcycle lost control and went into a ditch. As Ring pulled up to him, Flanigan allegedly attempted to pick the bike up. Ring drew his firearm and ordered Flanigan to the ground. He complied and was placed in handcuffs. The bag was retrieved, which contained a small clear plastic bottle wrapped in black tape that contained methamphetamine.

•Dennie Shane Smith, 27, 572 Woodale Street, Hull, was charged with disorderly conduct after officers were summoned to a trespasser at his residence. Once there, they did not find a trespasser, but instead found Smith in the yard yelling that he “just wanted to go to Athens to see his uncle.” After being asked numerous times to go inside and go to bed, Smith was arrested for disturbing the peace.

•Damond Ladean Hewell, 32, 271 Amberly Drive, Hull, disorderly conduct.

•Scottie Blake Hill, 20, 447 Norwood Road, Lot 3, Hull, electronically furnishing obscene material to minors.

•Herman Dewitte Holcomb, 65, 1261 Glenn Carrie Road, Hull, failure to register as a sex offender/failure to comply with requirements/provided false information.

•Agnes Olivia Holder, 51, 1261 Glenn Carrie Road, Hull, probation violation.

•Kendall Leonard Johnson, 23, 175 Stonehenge Way, Bogart, interference with custody, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, loitering, statutory rape and child molestation.
