Woman arrested looking for brother ‘in Guam’

Sharon Alice Nation, 45, 1321 Carey Ford Road, was charged with loitering or prowling. According to the incident report, officer Michael Moore came to the scene to speak with Nation. When he asked her why she was walking around the property she told him she was looking for her brother, who lives in Guam. When Moore asked her where she thought her brother was at that time, she said “Guam” and began to laugh. She denied drinking or using drugs, saying she was just looking for her brother “in Guam.”

The complainant said Nation came to her door and knocked, saying she was looking for her brother. When the woman told her she didn’t know her brother, Nation allegedly left, walking down the driveway. The woman said about 30 minutes later she went out to her car and noticed that the woman was walking around her barn. She yelled at her and Nation then walked into the barn’s open bay. That’s when the woman called 9-1-1.

In another arrest, Rebecca Cox, 40, 148 Peachtree Street, Colbert, was charged with disorderly conduct. According to the incident report, officer Josh Smith was sent to a neighboring residence on Peachtree Street where Cox’s sister told him that Cox, who lives in an apartment on the same property, came into her house while she was asleep and began to “cuss and scream at everyone, waking them up.” Cox also reportedly called her sister a “b…..”

The woman said officers had just left her residence a few moments earlier for the same reason, and that they had taken Cox back to her apartment to sleep off her intoxication. Smith found Cox seated on her sister’s living room floor, clearly intoxicated. This time she was taken to jail.
