Woman charged with obstruction

Amanda Lou Martin, 26, 1415 Pine Valley Farm Road, Comer, reportedly told officers who came to serve two felony warrants on Jason Hattaway, 36, 281 Wildcat Bridge Road, Danielsville, that he was not there and that she had dropped him off at his mother’s house. The officers requested to check the residence and she gave permission. Hattaway was found in the master bathroom. He was charged with failure to appear and a hold from another county.

•Joshua Scott Kell, 22, 380 North Main Street, Lot 3, Danielsville, was charged with interference with custody and statutory rape after a man on Oak Circle reportedly found his 12-year old stepdaughter “down by the creek” with Kell.

•Jennifer Anne Backer, 38, 1592 Pine Valley Farm Road, Comer, second degree criminal damage to property and three counts of disorderly conduct.

•Frazier Samuel Barnett, 53, 200 Howard Drive, Athens, failure to appear.

•Darlene Dean Berryman, 40, 518 Poss Road, Danielsville, failure to appear.

•William Michael Bray, 64, 159 Main Street, Hull, failure to obey, probation violation, DUI/drugs, weaving over roadway, driving while declared a habitual violator and felony with vehicle.

•Donald Ray Coleman, 44, 236 Dino Trail, Statham, failure to appear.

•Timothy Christopher Compton, 37, 612 Wall Street, Crawford, failure to appear.

•John Ferman Lee Demback, 40, 423 Jack Sharp Road, Colbert, trafficking in cocaine, illegal drugs, marijuana or methamphetamine and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies.

•Mary Dembeck, 41, 523 Jack Sharp Road, Colbert, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies and receipt, possession or transfer of a firearm by a convicted felon or felony first offender.
