A Hull man was arrested last week following an altercation on Macedonia Church Road.
Jason Matthew Money, 27, 399 Buford Carey Road, was charged with one count each of simple battery FVA, criminal trespass and public drunkenness.
According to the incident report, Money got into a fight with his wife at a party and struck her with a closed fist. A nephew allegedly stopped Money from continuing to strike his wife. Money continued to be irate and kicked at the door of the home after he was locked out.
In another incident, a woman called 911 to report that a man hid in the back of her car and tried to strangle her as she drove down the road.
According to the incident report, the woman said Marlon Haynes, 32, of a Smokey Road address attempted to strangle her as she drove. She managed to pull the car off the road and fell onto the ground. Haynes then allegedly struck her in the face several times and tried to break her neck by twisting it around. She said at this time she must have passed out. When she woke up a short time later, she said she was in a ditch and her vehicle was missing. She walked to a nearby residence on Hwy. 29 South and called 911. Deputies noted she had a swollen eye, there were marks around her neck and her T-shirt was caked with blood and mud.
Deputies were unable to locate Haynes, but warrants were issued for his arrest. Her vehicle was found parked at her residence.
