It’s time for the annual Madison County “Ag Day Celebration.”
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 30, at Memorial Park in Danielsville.
“Please bring your family to support the local agriculture community,” organizers said.
There will also be live animal exhibits, including a spinning wheel using sheep’s wool. There will be horse rides for children, a Future Farmers of America spring plant sale, free ice cream sandwiches courtesy of Georgia Commodity for Milk. There will be steak sandwich lunches, hotdog lunches and strawberry ice cream from Moon Farms Country Market.
A tractor parade is set for 11 a.m. and is open to all types and ages of equipment.
“Antique tractors, modern tractors, etc. are all welcome,” said organizers.
Anyone interested in pre-registering for the parade can call Cindy Jones at 706-654-8252 or e-mail her at firstname.lastname@example.org. Participants can register the day of the parade. Organizers ask that all equipment exhibits be in place by 9:30 a.m.
