A Danielsville man was arrested after he allegedly stole a car while the owner was inside Neese Grocery on Hwy. 106 South.
Ronnie Eugene Wilson, 44, 606 Mt. Zion Road, was charged with theft by taking, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, driving while declared a habitual violator and knowingly driving a motor vehicle on suspended, canceled or revoked registration.
According to the incident report, officer Justin Hanley was dispatched to Neese Grocery where he met with a woman who said Wilson got inside and then drove off in her 1994 Chevy Camaro while she was inside the store. She said she knew him, but that he did not have permission to take her car. The Georgia State Patrol stopped the vehicle and Hanley and the car’s owner went to the scene. Wilson was handcuffed and taken to jail. While searching the car, a small bag of marijuana was found next to the driver’s seat.
