Donna Bulla is the new principal of Hull-Sanford Elementary School.
The assistant principal was promoted to the school’s top spot Tuesday by the Madison County School Board.
She replaces Cathy Gruetter, who was recently hired as the school system’s curriculum director for pre-K through fifth grade.
Madison County School Superintendent Dr. Allen McCannon said he felt Bulla is a great choice.
“Ms. Bulla will do an excellent job as principal of Hull-Sanford Elementary,” said McCannon. “For the last seven years Ms. Bulla has served Hull-Sanford Elementary as an assistant principal. Before becoming an assistant principal, she taught at Ila Elementary for 12 years. Former Hull-Sanford Principal Cathy Gruetter credits Ms. Bulla as being a big part of the success at Hull-Sanford. As an assistant principal, Ms. Bulla did a great job in the area of instruction, student achievement, RTI, PBIS, standardized testing, and other duties. I believe that Ms. Bulla will continue to exhibit strong leadership in her new role as principal of Hull-Sanford Elementary.”
