Two people were arrested on separate charges recently after officer Jason Luke was sent to a trailer park on Willis Glenn Road.
Reba Dorcas Bettis, 26, 484 Hawthorne Hwy., Athens, was charged with simple battery. Andrew Brown, 49, 572 Willis Glenn Road, Lot 19, Hull, was charged with criminal trespass.
According to the incident report, Brown called 9-1-1 stating he was “out of control” and wanted to be arrested.
Once on scene, Luke made contact with Bettis’ mother, who stated that her daughter, who is handicapped, got into an argument with Brown over the computer. She said Bettis was on the computer and Brown told her to get off so he could look for a job and Bettis refused, saying she paid the Internet bill. Brown said Bettis grabbed him by the shirt and “slung” him across the room. Bettis said she couldn’t remember what happened due to a problem with short-term memory loss. She then explained that she was on the computer and Brown was yelling at her so she grabbed his shirt. She said she did this because he was yelling at her and she “don’t like drama.”
Other arrests on file at the sheriff’s office recently included:
•Derrick Tramun Bailey, 24, 445 Washington Drive, Athens, giving false name, address or birthdate to law enforcement officer, driving without a license and weaving over roadway.

Wait a minute the story states Brown was charged with criminal trespass? HOW was he not at home? Bettis had a different address wouldn't she be the one who would be charged with trespass? AND also Bettis said she grabbed his shirt because he was yelling at her and she DIDN'T LIKE DRAMA? Baby that ship has sailed you are in the middle of it now.
