Two Danielsville man wwere charged with child molestation last week by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
In the first case, on July 7, the sheriff’s office responded to a residence in the Maysville area of Jackson County in reference to a call involving an adult male and a young female. A witness, at the residence, reported seeing Thomason touching the child inappropriately and contacted authorities.
After initial interviews were conducted, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher R. C. Thomason, 22, on charges of child molestation and cruelty to children.
The investigation is ongoing due to the possibility of another victim within the home.
In the second incident, on July 10, following a lengthy investigation, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Wesley Tyson Hanley, 33, Danielsville, with aggravated child molestation, child molestation and statutory rape.
The arrest stems from a 2012 case involving Hanley and a 15 year old female. After obtaining evidence and receiving results from the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab, the Sheriff’s Office was able to secure arrest warrants for Hanley.
