The more I see of political correctness, the less impressed I am.
If I understand the rules, it is politically incorrect to say or do anything that offends anyone. And the burden falls on me not to offend, while it is perfectly fine for others to offend me anyway they wish. And the more I hear these people spouting off on TV, the more I realize that I am a very politically incorrect person. As Popeye used to say, “I am what I am.” And if you find me offensive, that is your problem.
So let me give you a definitive statement about what I am and you can decide for yourself if you need to be offended:
I am an aging, half smart, semi-self educated, Constitution supporting, Bible reading, gun owning, rebel flag waving states rights Georgia redneck. I do not want government running my life. I think I am fully capable of being responsible for myself with only a little help from Washington.
Now I am in general an easy going, friendly type who thinks you have the same right to run your own life that I demand for myself. I am seldom offended by what you think or what you say. Even if you are saying negative things about me. I know who I am and what I believe and there is little you can say that will disturb me, with one exception.
I love my country. I am a 100 percent American and I am highly offended by anything that tries to go ahead of my country. The most offensive thing I see and hear everyday are hyphenated Americans. If you precede America by any other descriptive word, that lessens our nation and that is something I find intolerable.
Genetically, I am mostly Celt. But I would never refer to myself as a Celtic American. Being Celtic is of far less value than being American. Besides, there are a bunch of other things that make up my ancestry. I am Scotch, Irish, English, Dutch, German and Cherokee. That would take far too many hyphens. I am Southern and proud of it. But being Southern comes second to being 100 percent American
So, if you insist on identifying yourself as an Italian American, I am highly offended. The same goes if you insist on calling yourself Latin American, Chinese American, or African American. Now, according to your rules of political correctness, the fact that I am offended by these terms means that the use of such terms has to stop!
They won’t stop of course. Political correctness falls on the left of our political spectrum and only the left wing are allowed to be offended. And I guess I will have to live with that. But at least you know how I feel about it.

"...Constitution supporting, Bible reading, gun owning, rebel flag waving states rights Georgia redneck". "I am Southern and proud of it. But being Southern comes second to being 100 percent American". I totally identify,Frank, however I'm sure that to some that automatically makes one incorrect these days.
I'm sure the usual suspects will be along to voice their displeasure of this Opinion piece. That's fine, let them, they have that right.
The PC obsessed, unfortunately, like to preach equal rights and acceptance for everyone as long as "everyone" agrees with them (kinda hypocritical if you ask me). You know, they name roads after people like that..."One Way". I have yet to understand hyphenated Americans either. In a society that appears to strive to be one, equal group, hyphenating only serves to separate Americans further. I guess due to my genealogy I should consider myself Native-American but I don't, I'm American only, I bleed red just like the next person.
Technically it's a weapon, and we do have the right to bear arms. Am I wrong?
Isnt Politically Correct an Oxymoron ?

If I wanted to form a new origination to
preserve the culture and heritage of
whites what would happen ?
We have La RAZA and NAACP etc.etc..
I will call it the NAAWP .
Would I be called a racists ?
Who would be the ones that would call me that?
Would this not be politically correct and why ?
I agree with Frank and Anonymous .
I own me my life and everything about it and I'm going to do whats right to hell with politically incorrectness . This government doesn't own me and never will.
However they do own many because they control their minds .
We all need to remember that the Colonies or States formed the Federal Government . It didn't happen the other way around .
We must also remember we can and probably should abolish it as one of our inalienable rights clearly stated in our founding documents say we should .
Read the Declaration Of Independence . That is not only our right but our duty . Is it time ? I'm ready to toss them how about you ?
