LETTER: We need a ‘bottom up’ not ‘trickle down’ economy

DOOD! Wake up and smell the MONEY! One Bill Gates spends more in a month than every dood n doodette in our whole county does in a year.

You tax the poor man and he can't buy stuff 'cause he's got too little money left but he wasn't buying much anyway cause he isn't rich, but he cuts back on everything and does without important stuff...but everything still stays pretty much the same for everybody.

You tax the rich man and he can still buy anything he wants...but he stops building new "summer homes" so the builders and carpenters and tile layers are out of work, he stops buying the new yachts so the boat builders are living on unemployment checks, he stops buying new BIG PROFIT limos so Ford lays off more workers.

Wow, dood...seems like the RICH guy is the one with the BUYING POWER.

It’s not the rich man who's hurting in this economy. Sure, he may have lost big $$$, but he's still doing the rich man stuff. It’s the middle class and us broke doods that are getting the squeeze, man.

I used to wanna be rich, man, but hey, you know, if you are gonna tax the crap outta all the rich men then I wouldn't have anything left anyway.

But I have it figured out, you know. I gave up working, dood, 'cause I know I can stay home and check out the toob and draw the unemployment check until it runs dry, then put in for welfare checks and let you guys keep me up with your tax dollars! If you're smart, dood, you will do the same thing. Why work? I'm making as much now as you do and I don't have a boss always on my back. Sweet! But don't let it get out, wouldn't want everyone to ruin my deal, man.
