A 34-year old Jackson County man who escaped from a Hall County officer at location on Neese-Commerce Road last week remains on the loose.
Joseph Daniel Jackson, 34, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 3, by Investigator Charles Giaquinta as a suspect in the theft of a vehicle in Hall County.
Giaquinta had called for assistance from Madison County Sheriff’s Office, according to investigator Jimmy Patton, and an officer was on the way to assist him, when Jackson broke away from the officer after he was handcuffed and fled on foot. Officer combed the area, but could not locate him.
Inv. Patton said there were several sightings in the neighborhood that day, but that nothing else has been reported since then. Charges against him now include obstruction and escape.
Patton said Jackson is not considered dangerous. He is approximately five feet ten inches tall with blonde hair. Anyone with any information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 706-795-2101.
