A 29-year-old Crawford man was recently sentenced in Madison County Superior Court to five years in prison on an aggravated assault conviction.
Joseph Dantaious Latimore, no address available, was also sentenced to 10 years probation and fined $1,350 for aggravated assault.
Prosecutors chose not to seek convictions on the following charges: possession, manufacture or distribution of marijuana; possession of tools for the commission of a crime; receipt, two counts of possession or transfer of firearms by a convicted felon, two counts of possession of a firearm/knife during a crime or crime attempt; false statements/writings, concealment of facts; tampering with evidence; and cruelty to children.
Other actions filed recently in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Madison County include:
•Douglas Lemar Johnson, 55, 165 Creekwood Drive, Hull, was sentenced to five years confinement, five years probation and fined $725 for party to a crime (reduced from aggravated assault). Prosecutors chose not to seek a conviction on a charge of cruelty to children in the third degree.
•La’Tron Javious Usher, 21, 446 MLK Avenue, Jefferson, was sentenced to seven years probation and fined $1,037 for theft by receiving stolen property (reduced from burglary).
•Christopher William Fleming, 18, 292 Hillwood Drive, Danielsville, was sentenced to 10 years probation for burglary and criminal damage to property in the second degree. He was also fined $725.
•Amber Lynn Wilkerson, 22, 115 Deer Wood Ct., Bogart, was sentenced to seven years probation and fined a total of $725 on two counts of entering auto.
•Amy Singh, 36, 124 Wilson Ct., Lawrenceville, was sentenced to seven years probation and fined $1,412 for possession of methamphetamine.
•River O’Neal Harper, 30, 4772 Hwy. 29 North, Danielsville, was sentenced to 30 days confinement, 11 months probation and was fined $387 for battery under the Family Violence Act (reduced from cruelty to children in the second degree).
•Jesse Dwight Booth, 19, 733 Blacks Creek Church Road, Danielsville, was sentenced to one year probation for statutory rape (victim is 14 but less than 16). This charge was merged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was also sentenced to one year probation for interference with custody.
•Amanda Lou Martin, 26, no address available, Comer, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $675 for obstruction of officers.
