A father and son were arrested recently after a family dispute at the father’s home on Hwy. 106 North.
Roger Howard Clark, 49, of Danielsville, was charged with aggravated assault, battery FVA and disorderly conduct.
His son, Terry Lee Clark, 24, of Flowery Branch, was charged with disorderly conduct.
On Nov. 10, deputies Bradley Free and Christopher Haston were dispatched to 2156 Hwy. 106 North in reference to a domestic dispute.
When they arrived, Haston spoke with Roger Clark’s wife, who told him that her husband and older son had gotten into a family dispute.
Terry Clark told Haston that he and his wife had been having problems, so he and his son were at his parent’s residence. He said he was on the phone arguing with his wife and that he cursed in front of his son.
That is allegedly when his father, R. Clark, called him “crazy,” and they began to argue.
According to various statements, R. Clark got in his truck and his wife got between the father and son. R. Clark then allegedly struck his wife in the mouth with his fist. He then allegedly put his truck in drive and began driving toward the front door and a younger son, who had come to see what all the commotion was about. That is when T. Clark hit him in the head with a shovel to make him stop. Haston took pictures of the truck’s tire marks near the door.
In another arrest, four people at a home on Broad River Road were taken into custody while deputies were trying to serve a warrant on one of them.
Christopher Ogle, 24, of Winterville, was charged with obstruction after he fled out the back door of a home officers were attempting to search for him.
His mother, Kathy Ann Coley, 42, Carlton, was charged with hindering apprehension or punishment of a criminal.
Another son, Aaron Storm Wiley, 19, also of Carlton, was charged with hindering the apprehension or punishment of a criminal and marijuana possession less than an ounce.
Also arrested at the scene was Jessica Ann Nicole Howell, 23, Carlton, for hindering apprehension of a criminal and failure to appear. According to the report, she also had warrants out of Clarke and Banks counties. DFCS was called to the scene to take possession of two small children at the residence, who were then placed with a family friend.
