Three people were arrested following a domestic dispute on Christmas Circle recently.
Autum Ray Justice, 22, of Athens, was charged with battery and simple battery FVA.
Robert Mitchell Rowland, 48, and Gae Ann Whitehead, 41, both of Colbert, were each charged with one count of battery.
According to the incident report, officer Kyle Roberts and officer Christopher Haston were dispatched to the location, where they met with Justice, who said the other two had jumped on her and hit her in the face, lower lip and right eye. Roberts noted she had bruising on her face and a busted lip. The other two, who had already left the residence, were located on Kellogg Drive at West Kellogg Drive and taken back to the scene. They both stated Justice had hit them. Whitehead had a black eye and Rowland had marks on his face.
All three were arrested and taken to jail.
In a another arrest, Larry Richard Self, 46, of Colbert, was charged with obstruction and simple battery/battery FVA following an incident at Country Living Mobile Home Park on Hwy. 72 West.
According to the report, officer Joshua Smith went to the park, where he met with a woman who said that she woke up about 7 a.m. that morning with her live in boyfriend (Self) yelling at her, but she did not know what he was yelling about. She said he grabbed her by both her arms and threw her across the bed and then struck her in the eye. At some point during the altercation, he also allegedly put a pillow over her face. She said she bit him trying to get him to let go of her. When she was able to get away, she said she went to the neighbors’ house and stayed until early afternoon when she went back to the residence to retrieve some of her belongings. While there, Self allegedly refused to let her get her belongings and leave. He allegedly locked her in the bedroom and knocked her phone out of her hand when she attempted to call 9-1-1.
Self denied hitting her but said the pair had been arguing. He said a bite mark on his arm was an injury he had received at work, according to the report.
