Madison County residents living or owning property under the operations of pipelines are invited to attend the October meeting of Citizens Organized for Pipeline Safety (COPS). The meeting will be held Thursday, Oct. 9, at 6:30 in the fellowship hall of Colbert Grove Baptist Church.
Jane Perry, Director of the Chemical Hazards Program of GA Public Health in Atlanta, will meet with residents about the upcoming pollution investigation of Williams Transco natural gas pipeline compressor station.
“The investigation has sparked national scrutiny of how Transco has operated their compressor station in the Comer community,” COPS members said.
