Madison County will hold qualifying for local races March 3 through March 7.
The seats up for grabs include the magistrate judge’s post, with a qualifying fee of $1,491.65; school board seats in Districts 1 and 2, with an $80.22 qualifying fee; and county commission seats in Districts 3, 4 and 5, with a qualifying fee of $216.
Qualifying will begin at 9 a.m. March 3 and end at noon March 7.
The federal/general primary/nonpartisan election will be held May 20 and the general election will be held Nov. 4.
Qualifying locations for nonpartisan offices (magistrate judge and board of education) will be conducted at the Madison County Board of Elections and Registration office at 91 Albany Ave, Danielsville. For partisan offices (Board of Commissioner), potential candidates should contact their respective parties for qualifying location/information.
