Madison County Sheriff Kip Thomas will speak twice in the county this month to talk about changes in the state’s gun laws that will take effect July 1.
He will speak and answer questions Tuesday, June 24, at the Ila Volunteer Fire Department, then Thursday, June 26, at the Hull Volunteer Fire Department. Both events will be at 7 p.m.
“I have had a lot of questions from the public about this new law and I’m going to go over the parts of the law that will change come July 1,” said Thomas. “I would encourage whoever can to come because the law can be a little confusing just trying to sit down and reading it.”
I would encourage everyone to just sit down and read it regardless of how "confusing" it may be. This way there are no personal twist to the law and everyone would be responsible for the law to the letter.
