As of Tuesday at 4 p.m., 2,466 Madison County residents had voted in the county registrar’s office.
County registrar Tracy Dean also reports that her office has mailed out 540 absentee ballots.
Early voting began on Sept. 22 and will extend through Oct. 31. Voters can visit the registrar’s office to cast their ballots between 8 a.m. and 5
p.m. on weekdays in October. Those office hours will be extended from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. the week prior to the election, Oct. 27-31.
There will be no early voting the day before the election, Nov. 3.
