Dear Editor:

I am responding to the Oct. 16 letter to the editor in The Madison County Journal by Teresa Christian, "Says Obama hates Jesus, friends with terrorists.”

First of all, on the facts of Obama's tax plan:
The tax cuts he proposes helps 95 percent of Americans and stops the shelters of those making more than $250,000 a year. The wealthiest two percent of Americans will be asked to give back a portion of tax cuts they have received over the last eight years to ensure fairness and a return to fiscal responsibility. No family will pay higher taxes than they would have paid in the 1990s. Middle class families making less than $250,000 will pay tax rates that are 20 percent lower than under President Reagan. The Tax Policy Center says Obama's plan provides three times as much relief for middle class families than McCain's plan does.

Second, on healthcare:
Obama does not plan to implement universal healthcare. His plan will allow those who like their current healthcare plans to keep it and their costs will go down by as much as $2,500 a year. For those with no healthcare coverage, or who don't like the plan they have; there will be a choice of new, affordable health insurance options. He will require Insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions. His plan will help families and small businesses. The total plan is far too comprehensive to mention here.

Third on religous ties: Obama left his church after denouncing Reverend Jeremiah Wright's hate-filled remarks. McCain also broken ties to Reverend John Hagee, a religious zealot. As far as Palin's religous ties; the strangest one was with Pastor Thomas Muthee, a visiting African who ran a supposed “witch out” of his small town in Kenya, who did a laying of hands (Voodoo style) on Palin which you can find a video of on You Tube.

Fourth on being a pal of terrorist Bill Ayers: Obama was 8 years old when Ayers, a member of the Weather Underground, did his bombings. Ayers is a college professor but not a good friend of Obama. Numerous websites show the Palin-McCain accusations are totally false. Factcheck.org is one of them. Obama is a Christian and is not a Muslim. As a child in Indonesia, he was registered in school by his birth father’s religious denomination as all children were, which in Obama's case was Muslim. Please note that the Muslim religion does not advocate the teachings and proclamations of the radical Muslims who hate America. Unfortunately, there are radical groups in most religions.

Fifth on Obama being a Messiah: There are two definitions of messiah, one being the expected King and deliverer of the Jews (Jesus) and the other, being a professed or accepted leader of some hope or cause.

Sixth on McCain wanting to protect our country and insenuating that Obama does not: McCain supports a needless war in Iraq and will stay for 100 years if necessary instead of having put all our troops in Afghanistan to pursue the real terrorist who attacked us on 9/11, Osama bin Laden. Obama wants to withdraw (in a timely and safe manner) our troops in Iraq and focus on finding bin Laden in Afghanistan or possibly hiding in Pakistan. If you think your backyard is safe because we haven't been attacked again, God help you. Bin Laden is far more cunning and patient and will undoubtably attack us again, possibly from within our own precious country.

Seventh on Sarah Palin's great experience: As mayor of her own hometown, she left Wasilla (formerly debt free, using their monies wisely to do projects as they could afford them) with a debt of $20 million or $3,000 per capita. Palin has also been called, by many Alaskans, the "Queen of Earmarks" and the "Empress" of fiscal irresponsibility. It's more than chilling to think that she would be a heartbeat away from becoming president if John McCain is elected. This is a 72-year old man with four known cases of melanoma which is the deadliest form of cancer if not detected very early. We can't prove any more health problems as McCain refuses to release his medical records. I find that strange indeed.

People need to stop basing their knowledge on information gathered from those like Hannity, O'Reilly and
Limbaugh and from the many factless emails spreading like wildfire on the Internet. If you will go to the trouble of checking the real facts from reliable sources, you may find that you can make your voting choice in an informed manner.

God bless America and may we be restored to what I know America can be, once again.

1st obama's tax plan ... 40% don't pay taxes plus now your canidate obama has shifted on the amount from 250,000 to 120,000 so that he is not clear on who would be paying taxes and that hurts small businesses! 2nd health care his plan would kill the economy as it would force small business and top wage earners to pay a big price for any coverage at all ( cost sharing is a bad plan ) 3rd obama's crazy church ! well he disowned them right ? wrong rev. moss is out on the stump with barack obamalaughing all the way because it seems that obama has won the white house ( rev.moss is rev wrights underling fron the trinity church in chicago ) it seems that him quitting the church was for political reasons and now that he's "won" he will become a member again !4th on bill ayres albeit obama was 8 when ayres done his deeds against the country but in 2001 when the twin towers were attacked ayres stood on the american flag and said he didn't do enough ( or wished he'd done more bombings ) and obama knew all about it he was helping him with a book at the time ! 5th messiah ?? come on he is no messiah unless you speek to most of his uninformed supporters ! 6th your using liberal spin on that everyone knows that mccain was speaking about the military being in iraq not still fighting ( we are in japan ,germany,the united kingdom,and all over the mid east and we are not still fighting in most countries we are based in ) thats moronic! 7 th sarah palin has MORE experience tha obama does no matter how you look at it ! same liberal spin ! you need to stop watching mr keith oberman he's a moron and you will become a product of your enviroment it might already be too late !

Janie, it is very obvious that you obtained all of you information form the liberally biased news media.

Stop to consider this, Obama promises those in one state, exactly what they want, then goes to another state and promises them exactly what they want, at the same time denouncing those he just embraced. For example, coal in those states he wants the vote from, and denouncing that same coal to California which is the most liberal state in the Union.

He may have broken ties with his Pastor, but not until he had heard over 20 years of his hatred for this nation and certain groups of people. I guess his need to do so, break ties, became apparent only after even the left wing media brought it to his attention as well.

As for Ayers, the argument holds no merit... being he was 8 at the time. HE was not 8 when he spoke favorable towards him in his book, was he? He knew then and he knows now, Ayers was an unrepentant terrorist that killed innocent Americans, and bragged about how he wishes he had killed more.

Obama is very pro union, his health plan and taxes will destroy this nation. There was a company a few years back, ran and owned by a great Christian... as soon as they demanded to become Union... he closed the doors, all lost their jobs. This company was in the great state of Georgia, easy to discover, if you do some homework. Under Obama, think what his "fines" towards companies that don’t offer HIS Liberal ideas regarding coverage... lets just look at Wal-Mart... if they are forced to cover and forced into a union, and they, the owners, have what they already need to survive on in like lets say FOREVER... they close, all lose their jobs, we as a nation lose lower prices... what is to happen then? Even the mighty left wing liberals cannot force a company to hire and support their liberal cause. Or can they?

As for Obama being a Christian, and never a Muslim, he has stated over and over, he converted in his early 20's, so at one time, he did follow Muslim teachings... that’s not bad as far as I am concerned, only to a point, do those same early teachings enter into his thought processes of today? Studies show, we are “who and what we will be”, from our early learning’s.

I do hope you go back, stop being partisaned and look at what he is actually proposing, and ask yourself, is this the kind of country I want my children and grandchildren to inherit?

I agree totally about the apostate part. Which makes me wonder, how that fact will help in their recruitment to stand against him. IF he sends troops, they will fight harder for now he an apostate is their commander in chief.

12 REASONS BARRACK CHAVEZ OBAMA IS NOT THE ONE

1. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are the causes of this financial disaster. In order to ensure that they were not regulated these corrupt companies bought off congressmen. This is corruption. In just 3 years, these corrupt companies gave Obama $123,000 to buy him off. $123,000. Obama was the second largest recipient of Fannie and Freddie corrupt donations. This is the corruption McCain has fought against his whole life. $123,000 is corruption.

2. Earmark projects are corruption incarnate. Obama had 1 billion dollars worth of earmarks. 1 billion dollars. This is CORRUPTION RUN AMUCK. This money goes to political cronies in return for support and donations, relatives, family members. We are in this financial mess because of this kind of corruption. It created a culture of corruption that lead to the wall street debacle. Barrack Obama is at the very center of this CULTURE OF CORRUPTION. He is the WASHINGTON ESTABLISHMENT CANDIDATE. 1 billion dollars of hard earned tax payer money FLUSHED DOWN THE TOILET BOWL OF POLITICAL CORRUPTION.

3. Barrack Obama gave his First Cousin $70,000 of tax payer money. $70,000 of hard earned tax payer money to his first cousin. We elect representatives to Congress to serve the people. Not to ENRICH themselves. Not to enrich their family members. Not to enrich their political supporters. THIS IS TRULY CORRUPTION.

4. Obama wants to raise taxes on corporations, small businesses, capital gains. If you raise taxes in this economic crisis YOU WILL CAUSE A GREAT DEPRESSION. Business won’t create jobs. People will not invest. The 401 ks of seniors and all Americans won't be worth anything. The DOW WILL COLLAPSE TO to 4000/5000. The US will become another failed state like Venezuela. It’s that simple. If you want a SECOND GREAT DEPRESSION BARACK OBAMA IS YOUR MAN.

5. Obama wants our troops out of Iraq in 16 months. As General Petraeus has warned such a withdrawal will lead to the collapse of the Iraqi government. Iraq is not Afghanistan. IT IS AT THE VERY CENTER OF THE OIL PRODUCING UNIVERSE. If the Iraqi government collapses, OIL PRICES WILL SOAR TO $200.00/barrel and $10.00/gallon/gas. If you want to pay $10.00/gallon/gas vote Barrack Obama.

6. Barrack Obama called our troops fighting in Afghanistan WAR CRIMINALS. He said that they were air raiding villages and killing innocent civilians. WAR CRIMES. You cannot be commander in chief of our great armed forces and call them WAR CRIMINALS. Not only that but these statements put THE LIVES OF OUR TROOPS AT RISK.

7. When Move On. org - a large money Barrack Obama supporter called General Petraeus - one of the greatest American generals - GENERAL BETRAYUS - Barrack Obama refused to vote on a senate motion defending this great general. You cannot be President of the United States and stand by while one of your generals is being viciously maligned. Obama did this because he didn’t want to lose the money from Move On. Barrack Obama is A COWARD.

8. Barrack Obama gave $800.000 to a organization called Acorn. Acorn is trying to steal this election by fraudulently registering thousands and thousands of voters throughout this country - registering everything from dead people to cats, dogs. THIS IS CORRUPTION. Obama has a long and illustrious relationship with Acorn. Incredibility - ACORN leader Wade Rathke was in the Weather Underground along with Bill Ayers.

Ladies and gentlemen of America in the rescue package of 700 billion just passed by Congress the Democrats tried to include $500,000,000 for ACORN. DO YOU HEAR WHAT I JUST SAID - 500 MILLION FOR ACORN. THATS ONE OF THE REASONS MCCAIN RUSHED BACK TO WASHINGTON TO KILL THIS FRAUDULENT FUNDING. In Chicago, Obama was involved in training Acorn activists to go to the HOMES OF BANK PRESIDENTS AND THREATEN THEM IF THEY DID NOT GIVE OUT FRAUDELENT LOANS THAT COULD NEVER BE REPAID. $500 million to Acorn by the democrats in Congress and $800,000 from Obama. Can you imagine what will happen with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Obama in charge. Acorn will get the 500 million. 100%. Every vote is precious. It is the very essence of our democracy.

9. Bill Ayers was a terrorist who bombed the Pentagon, police stations and homes of people trying to capture him. Obama has a long and illustrious relationship with this arch criminal and hater of the US. Obama received $50 million dollars from Ayers to indoctrinate children in Chicago in revolutionary ideology. NOT READING AND WRITING AND SCIENCE BUT REVOLUTIONARY IDEOLOGY like Chavez teaches in Venezuela . Obama says - he was just a guy living in my neighborhood. Obama doesn’t understand that as President one of your most important obligations is NOT TO LIE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

10. Obama called the people of this country when he thought nobody was tape recording his great genius - Bitter people clinging to their bibles and their guns. You cannot denigrate the great people of this country and be their president.

11. In order to create a PERMANENT DEMOCRATIC PARTY MAJORITY - Obama and the Democrats will FAST TRACK CITZENSHIP FOR ALL 12 to 20 million illegal immigrants. And all those who will pour into the US to share in the new STATE WELFARE STATE. This will happen immediately. Funds will be poured into ACORN to organize Chavez style American cities to create a class of permanent dependents permanently dependent on the Democrats for handouts all educated in the education of anti - capitalism revolutionary politics.

12. By refusing to honor his agreement made to McCain and the American electorate to accept public financing, Obama is buying the Presidency. The McCain- Feingold reform imperfect as it was, at least made an attempt to take money and hence corruption out of Presidential politics. There is $200 million campaign contributions unaccounted for by Obama. By swamping the elections with money, Obama has institutionzed corruption making a farce out of democracy and the democratic principal of free and fair elections.

You know your stuff and are bright enough to get your point across. Keep up the good work. Too bad there aren't more conservative guys like you who can break down much needed information into understandable words that are easy to comprehend not to mention the time it takes to write it all out.
